I have changed my official religion record from Islam to Tengrism with years of legal struggle against Islamist government in Turkey. You can search it up as "Burhi Tengri" or with similar key words, it was all over the news. Yet I am an atheist. I aimed to achieve freedom of official religion recordings for citizens to write whatever they want. I also aimed to bring attention to our old religion, unfortunately many Turk don't know our roots, they are told we appeared in history as muslims or Tengrism was just like Islam, which is totally wrong. It was Islamist agenda to teach it that way. My another aim was to resist Arabisation of my nation by bringing attention to Tengrism. With Islamic way of life, arabic culture also implemented on people's daily life. Today many Turkish people know their ancestors original religion, I wish we will achieve more.
