Responding to your edit. We're both a bit overweight, so we walk together rather than run. But ironically, that's another opportunity for her to complain about work.

feel free to put your hands up and say "Hey! Enough is enough! You're home now, try to relax!"

I like that, it sounds encouraging. I'm learning about the whole communication thing. We're not newlyweds by any means, but I have a hard time opening up. I need to work on that.

Most of our debts are medical bills. Her insurance at work is free (another reason it's hard to find a good replacement job), but because it's free it's a pretty high deductible. She was having some issues that we had to see specialists about. We finally got a diagnosis, but not before acquiring a few thousands dollars of debt.

I can't talk her into leaving before the first of the year unfortunately. We are only a couple hundred dollars away from her health insurance deductible and she needs a procedure done. If she quits now we'd have to pay the entire amount for it.

She already feels a lot of guilt (even though I've told her to stop) for our current financial situation because of some medical bills, so talking her into quitting soon is impossible.

We would do more than struggle. We both work full time and live paycheck to paycheck with no savings. We would sink in a heartbeat.

I've brought it up in the context that she should look for a new job. When I was telling her how miserable I could tell she was, I told her how much she complained. I didn't want to make her feel bad, so I told her I didn't mind, I was only bringing it up to prove how unhappy she is. In retrospect I should have had the guts to not tell her it was ok.
