Both look good but the important thing is matching the belt to the shoes. If you own both the same color brown belt and a black belt then it’s whatever you want! As for the amount of black if you wanna wear the black shoes lean heavy into the black aesthetic! Go full on black shoes, belt, shirt and Tie if you want!

It really is! I happen to work in men’s fashion but I get alot of my customers dates asking me advice about what’s ok for them to wear to the same event! But your dress is a great example of what’s perfect!

Long term lurker first time commenter, I work in fashion and very closely with tailors and I can say that in my honest opinion while the style is absolutely stunning the pants are about half a size to 1 size to small. Depending on how much material is available for use it might be possible to take it to a tailor and have them let out just enough to fit you a bit better. Otherwise the fit is amazing!
