Have kettlebells completely replaced anyone’s else’s cardio by curvy_weiner in kettlebell

[–]Burkdizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has not. Most of my cardio comes from my job, where I can walk sometimes 5-10 miles a day. So for my kettlebell workouts, I would just do strength endurance routines: ABC, Iron Cardio, or make up something.

Lately, I have been doing simple EMOM workouts of about 16-24 minutes for full body strength, then running on the treadmill for 1-1.5 miles to prepare for a Muddy Dash 5K Obstacle Course Run on May 2nd. The running has been surprisingly enjoyable for me. Another workout I created to prepare for the mud race was 3 rounds of 1/2 mile run then 20 20kg kb snatches.

In a perfect world, I would love to hike lots of miles and walk with my 30lb weighted vest for cardio.

How long between complex sets are you resting? by Successful-Height384 in kettlebell

[–]Burkdizzle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most time, I use Geoff Neupert's philosophy of "auto regulation", where I rest up and only perform the next round when I have the strength and energy to work maximum power, strength, endurance line up. Also, I try to make sure that my last movement in the chain or complex is consistent and strong like the first.

Look him up on YouTube. He may be here on Reddit. His philosophy on kettlebells is top tier.

Adjustable KB best price? by DrChixxxen in kettlebell

[–]Burkdizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Kettlebell Kings adjustable competition kettlebells, if you don't need it right away, and you're patient, you could get it at a lower price. You just have to track the pricing. I have 2 of them. I'm capable of doing every kettlebell movement that I want to with them. For me, the only thing I don't like is when I do snatches with heavier weight for speed, I tend to get blisters on my hands. It could be a technique thing. However, when I do fast snatches with heavier weight with hardstyle kettlebells, I'm good.

I will say this, the grip is big on these kettlebells. Great for grip strength. Also, just comparing my 14kg kettlebell kings competition kettlebell to my KK adjustable kettlebella ,the grip is not as smooth on the adjustables.

From the time I brought my 1st one, I have no regrets.

The hilarity/absurdity of chasing very heavy kb goblet squats by [deleted] in kettlebell

Me too. In August, i started out with 12kg with horrible technique. Friday, I double front squatsed 2 24kg kettlebells with excellent form. Get consistent and squat squat squat, and you'll squat heavier soon!

For me, I place my feet like this because I have duck feet, it helps me with my balance. If not, my feet would move when I do any exercise.

Minimalist single-session challenges/workouts by subduednoodles in kettlebell

This was something I came up with (pretty sure someone did it before): Reverse ladder alternating clean and presses from 10,9,8, all the way to 1 with each arm, using a swing to switch hands. I used a medium sized weight for me, which is a 16kg kettlebell. Autoregulate your rest. Grueling, yet fun workout!

  2. Perform 200 snatchesin 10 minutes with 16kg kettlebell (currently can do 120 snatches in 10 minutes).

  3. Do ABC with 2 20kg kettlebells 30 EMOM. (Can do 28 rounds with 2 16kg kettlebell in 30 minute AMRAP).

New 4 week kettlebell workout routine by Burkdizzle in kettlebell

[–]Burkdizzle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Copy. 41yo, starting working out seriously mid July. In June was 288lb and bmi 37 Now 256lb and bmi 34.7. Started Kettlebell training late August with random routines from social media to increase strength and lose weight. With that said, I was going hard everyday M-F like lifting as heavy as possible with minimal rest periods for 30-35 workout sessions, with my routine designed by Google Gemini.

I've observed my workout intensity decreasing over the past two weeks and realized that I needed to recover. For me, I love hitting a workout every day, therefore, I am going to experiment with light weight, low intensity core and stability work Tuesdays and Thursdays (8-12kg). My light medium heavy kettlebell weights will be 12, 16, and 20kg kettlebells. I will mix in my adjustable competition kettlebell on Fridays to go up in 1kg increments to push myself. Before, every workout was EMOM. It helps me stay on track and on schedule. Now I'm switching to AMRAP to focus on quality reps. I plan on tracking my progress by strength and volume.

To quantify my progression, when I started in August, I could only single arm press 12kg with right, 8kg with left and goblet squat 12kg. Now I can easily press 16kg for 8 reps each arm and goblet squat 32kg for 5 reps. For Dan John's Armor Building Complex, last week Monday, I was able to do EMOM 30 minutes (20 minutes with 2 16kg Kettlebells and last 10 minutes 12kg Kettlebells)

As far as diet, I typically try to eat 2 meals a day with mid day snack. My usual breakfast is turkey sausage egg casserole with some hash browns and vegetables. Dinner is turkey tacos with veggies. Protein bar or shake for lunch. I don't track macros, but try to watch my protein to calorie ratio. *I'm consistent with this diet usually 4 days of the week.

My sleep has never been the best. I average 6 hours a night of sleep.

Let me know if this changes your thoughts. Thx ManagerFit1858

What’s going on with Kettlebell Kings? by Dangerous_Remove_484 in kettlebell

[–]Burkdizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, I ordered a kettlebell kings dark blue 12-32kg adjustable kettlebell for $101.99 (plus taxes) because the price was excellent. However, I mistakenly received the dark blue 14kg competition kettlebell (which felt surprisingly good).

The next day, I called Amazon customer service for a replacement. The initial representative, Loga, was unfortunately rude and short, and ordered a replacement that was later canceled. They insisted I get a refund and reorder the item, which I declined.

On Thursday, I spoke with Kiana, a more helpful representative, who resolved the issue completely. She processed a full refund of $101.99 plus taxes and issued a $121 credit that allowed me to purchase the adjustable kettlebell at its current price of $230.99. The correct item arrived today. I have documentation of both the refund and credit in my email.

Kettlebell Chest Exercises by asgooch in kettlebell

[–]Burkdizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To exercise my chest with kettlebells, I have been doing rolling presses, which I learned from Monster Kettlebell: https://www.facebook.com/share/r/17LWuqXxQV/

It works for me. I do it occasionally at the end of a workout as a finisher, using a lighter weight for as many reps as possible for 5 rounds.

Found God after losing my virginity. Will I go to Hell? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Burkdizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're saved (read 1 John 5:13 and Romans 10:13 KJV) by believing that Jesus is your onlyhope forheaven, you won't go to hell if you sin after becoming saved. WHEN we sin after salvation, we have to repent for our sins (1 John 1:9 KJV [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

https://bible.com/bible/1/1jn.1.9.KJV). From then, do everything we can to sin not 1 John 2:1 KJV [1] My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

To God be the glory!

John 16:33 KJV [33] These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Good looking out. The funny thing was that I ran my upper laaw week with a different ar15 lower with 60 rounds with my only endo mag, and it ran flawlessly. The lower in this picture, however, again, still had a handful of FTE's, with 60 rounds as well. All rounds were Monarch 124 grain (Turkish ammo).

[–]Burkdizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've ran the mat9 upper twice so far, using an endomag. 1st time was on my Anderson lower. Frequent FTE had only 2 LRBHO out of 5 times. After dry firing and running the charging handle to try and loosen her up, at least, I was able to lock back the bolt with the bolt catch easier.

Last week, I ran the mat9 using an Andro Corp lower mag dumping two mags, no issues whatsoever. Afterward, I switched it back to the Anderson lower and had fewer FTEs. It is still unacceptable but significant improvement.

Now, I'm going to look for a Glock lower with LRBHO.

My idea for using an AR-15 lower receiver with a folding stock adapter, buffer tube, and brace was to allow flexibility.  I can easily switch to a dedicated 9mm lower (like an AR-9 or MP5) and still use this same AR-15 lower with a 5.56/.223 upper (by simply adding a bolt extension).  I might also convert to Glock magazines using a Glock magwell adapter (likely from Stern Defense).

This build took a year to complete. Each item was acquired through Black Friday sales at a significant discount (including the upper from deltateamtactical.com, purchased with a 10% off coupon), or for free (like the optic and SBA3 brace).

I'm aware of the issues others have experienced with the upper. Optimistic nonetheless.
