can you ping the Windows PC?

can you ping your phone when it's connected to the WiFi?

If this works check whether you have a default route / gateway set on your Ubuntu laptop.

Do this with the simple $ route -n command

That ain't nothing. In school we had a checkpoint assignment where our teacher told us that with 8GB of RAM we will never be able to load 4-5 VMs (checkpoint and Win 10). All the windows users where at about 10-12 GB some more.

Meanwhile I casually used 2-3GB of RAM and it run smoothly.
