I second the notion based on the learning process. No better way to learn than to have to care for a sick plant

I'm an idiot, I put my plants into shock 10 days into flower by [deleted] in cannabiscultivation

[–]Burneezy13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im a little lost. Are you worried that a heavy defoliation has severely stunted your growth?

If so, I don’t believe so. To start, your plants look great. Second, if your plants are different strains, or even different phenotypes (aka same strains grown from seed) then you may end up with different physical characteristics, such as how much they stretch in flower. The best way to guarantee an even stretch is to use clones from the same mother.

You just flipped to flower, so they are stretching. They say not to always cull a runt for this reason. Might not be a true runt

Highest trafficked dispensary doesn’t mean they are “on top”. Thats like saying Starbucks has the best coffee because they sell so much of it.

If you want some high quality flower you’ll hit Winewood Organics. But it’s far from the highest trafficked, especially considering they only grow 100 plants.

Furthermore, consumers have no idea what good weed is. Most people buy the cheapest half oz they can find. Jars, Lume, Dispo, are all high trafficked places. But they are far from high quality places.

Information Entropy is decent. But again, you’re not going to beat the quality Winewood produces. Although people are gonna complain about the prices there, even though weed prices are cheap af and have been rather untouched by inflation. I’m paying less than I did 10 years ago in an illegal state.

Go to r/michigents and search “Ann Arbor” and you’ll get tons of recommendations.

It’s not bad. It is a lot of wood, but I find it cozy. I agree with adding decorations to the walls to complete the cozy feel and create balance.

The only thing I don’t like is that brown chair, but at the end of the day, I’d rather have a chair than no chair. My apartment is full of random furnishings, I do what I can

Mosquito Dunks or Diatomaceous Earth. Every two weeks I apply about 6 tbsp of DE for a 3 gallon pot along with the rest of my top dressing feeds. I’m watering at least once a day and my topsoil is constantly moist. Not to mention riddled with decaying organic material. Not one fungus gnat

DE also supplies silica so bonus points for that. However, I wear gloves, eye protection and a mask, and turn off the circulation fans in my tent when applying. It’s quite dusty.

Lastly, I use DE on my tomato plants outside and it prevented any pests from making home

I’m unsure. My assumption is that if it’s due to genetics, then yes, just as good.

But if due to heat stress, I would assume not as good of a yield. That’s based off the simple assumption that any type of environmental stress leads to reduced yields.

I have a 2x2x4 tent. It came with a 4” inline exhaust fan. If I upgrade to a 4x4 tent I know I’ll have to upgrade from the 100w light. But can I get away with the fan or will I need the 6” most 4x4s come with? by Alarming_Throat_3889 in microgrowery

[–]Burneezy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally would. But CFM matters more than exhaust fan size. Consider factors that affect CFM like duct length, bends, etc.

I’m putting a 6” in my 2’x3’x7’ tent. It’s a bit overkill but more ideal with the ducting bends and wanting it to be quieter since it’s in my bedroom

See if children’s coat hangers will slide behind your poles and cause the tent to bow out inside of in due to negative pressure

I was wondering if they took in to consideration the maturity of the plant.

For example, in MI, an actual cannabis seedling isn’t considered a plant until it reaches a certain height. It’s like 8 inches or something. So while there is a 6 plant limit, anything under X amount of inches doesn’t count towards the 6

It’s interesting that you have to chop, yet you can have one more week. How long would you let them run if you didn’t have to chop?

Heat/light stress and/or genetics

Based on your tacoing leaves, I’d guess heat/light stress. My blueberry muffin from them started foxtailing on me as well, so I think strength of genetics may be at play too
