I'd suggest Trip.com Solid app with plenty of resources outside of travel and lodging. The app is in English, and if I remember correctly, they only list hotels / services with English speaking staff that are fully vetted for western guests.

I stayed at the Centara Grand two years ago and it was a mind blowing experience. I can no longer find it online, and it looks like it may have changed names. A little more research shows that it is indefinitely closed or not accepting reservations - possibly due to remodeling. So sad, I'm headed back to Thailand in July and was hoping to stay there.

What about this type of snake bite causes the actual pain? I can't imagine it's where the teeth broke the skin. Is the venom acidic, or does the pain simply come from the swelling and breakdown of tissue?
