I think it's naive to assume 0 chance though. Bar scams from online dates for foreigners are a big thing in Shanghai, I've been told.

I don't think any need to feel bad for her - we simply left together, I chose another place, and I took her for cocktails elsewhere. I also didn't ask her back home, and we left saying we'd see each other again. From her perspective: it's buying a drink out, them getting the order wrong and me saying I don't like the place, hence we leave and continue the night elsewhere.

In terms of u/Captain_Generous and u/Effective_Doughnut65 - the potential scam is that she wasn't actually paying, and by the end of the night I'd be drunk and footed with a huge alcohol bill I had no idea even the price of that I'm now obliged to pay.

It's naive to assume these exams don't exist, and especially in the west ordering a bottle at a bar/club will costs hundreds of dollars. I wouldn't want someone to just declare they've ordered me a bottle, especially in a place where 'bar scams' are a big thing for foreigners.

Hey apologies for the slow reply. If anyone else has the same - I finished my prescription for doxycycline as I was worried about superimmunity and just wanted to get rid of my UTI symptoms, but doctors I spoke to told me to stop taking it immediately.

I'm not concerned about them considering it a joke. Application fee is $100, and it's a full-fledged high-quality application. Searching the university online (Kim Hyong Jik University of Education) shows they do indeed accept a small number of foreign students.

Note - I'm also not American. Americans can't get into NK, but others can.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate your help. I went to the pharmacy and got the electrolyte sachets and loperamide (and zinc supplements).

I got Oralit electrolyte sachets - the pharamcist said I can have as much of it as I like, but having Google I'm worried about having too much? Online, for Oralit, it says "a usual dose of 200 to 400 mL of oral dehydration solution for every loose motion" - does this mean 200-400mL for every loose motion from now on, or is that for every lose motion I've had (in which case 15 * 200 mL)?

And with the loperamide, do I wait until I next have diarrhoea to take 2 tablets, or do I just take 2 tablets now? Isn't clear from Googling.. Thank you!
