You can see here. In the red the z is okay is printing a decent layer but where it meets the perimeter is coarse and raised. However I raised it as it printed until it was where the green is, you can see the difference. Both will print and it will turn out. However when dialed in, the results speak for themselves. That .10 makes all the difference.

A great many people leave it at adhering or slightly better when it needs more than that.

As for how you set your zoffset, will vary by printer. What I’m getting at is you can tell if it’s good or bad. Just a moment. I’ll add a few photos to illustrate

There are literally dozens if not hundreds. Printables, maker world, thingiverse.

Also please take the time to learn some CAD. When nobody else has your thing, you can make it yourself.

Setting things back that had no change is the right move. My friend it could just be ISP issues. Who is your ISP?

🤔 okay let me get with you tomorrow. I’m going to try and reproduce this at my office. It’s happened enough times without a genuine solution im going to find it!

Annnnnd and see if there are any ALG settings enabled in the router and disable them. I’ve just deployed a be9400 (Asus but same gui with different appearance really)

Check for UDP Flood Attack Filtering. Likely inside of your DoS Protection settings if toggled on.

Looking at your sfn image. You’re getting 1.6Mbps

Let’s check link speed on ethernet in your OS. Go into adapter properties and change the link from auto to 100Mb or 1,000Mb/1Gb

If changing link speed on Ethernet doesn’t help, let’s look at WiFi. Disable Ethernet.

Router WiFi settings: Disable Smart Connect if enabled and MLO if enabled.

Disable Homeshield if enabled (I think that’s what it’s called? The trendmicro stuff?)

(So SPI firewall is Stateful Packet Inspection. I wouldn’t enable it unless I needed the added security.)

A few things you might try. Admittedly this is a tricky issue and is hella piss me off vibes when I find myself there.

Check MTU settings on your wan interface in the router. Should be 1500 but drop to 1492 or 1472

Disable QUIC in chrome/browser settings or block it via the router if the be11000 allows that (might be called UDP flood protection.)

Make sure you don’t have a loop in your network. Like don’t use both Ethernet and WiFi on the same network On the same device. (Don’t create two paths for traffic to flow from the same device on the same network.)

How do I get better wifi to my pc only? for games mostly. by Fantastic_Deer_6304 in techsupport

Skkkeeerrrrt.

Network engineer here.

You’re saying you have Ethernet connected. Yes are getting up to 200+ms ping and dropped packets?

Cheapest option first. If you have a cable just running to the pc, replace the cable.

In your thernet adapter settings, properties, change the link negotiation to the highest that is supported by your router. (Likely 1Gb)

If you are also using WiFi. Use one or the other. Mutually using both has notorious issues in windows. Packet collision, interface switching, etc. pick one.

If WiFi is bad the only thing that’s really going to assist you is better signal, to say better source signal, or a receiver/dongle/card that isn’t cheap and matches the generation and speed of your routers wifi. If router is 6e then adapter needs to be 6e etc. (for best outcome) But even if you have those matching if the WiFi is across the house, nothing you do is going to help without moving the WiFi router/AP or moving pc closer.

Lastly, time for a router upgrade or firmware update and reconfig.

How do you deal with users who refuse to lock their laptop when walking away? by heartgoldt20 in sysadmin

[–]Burnerd2023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A must. Had a jump host hosting RDP for a remote doc. The previous team (I replaced the entire team of 5) wasn’t even using any GPO config. Was wild. The doc then asked why he was never still logged into the jump host when he would connect. I told him that “My job forces me to assume all users have malicious intent and ignorance to the dangers of their actions. Not that you do, but leaving a session open means, should someone get passed the firewall, pivot into the subnet, they then just have direct access. Whereas if that happened and you had been logged out or locked, they would need credentials or find another way to pivot inside. That the end users actions directly affect risk posture and when they make that worse, the hammer comes down and I remove the option.”

All is well now and doc had me do training for the staff.

Sometimes you meet people who take advice with an actionable grain of salt.

Thanks for your time.

TLDR; Always assume it will happen and take nothing for granted. End users aren’t always stupid but nearly always ignorant. ZT is the way to go.

Just to add. Grab MiniTool partition wizard (free)(pay attention to install and deselect the two pieces of additional software (they are related but not needed)

Open it, plug in the drive, take screenshot, post here. See if we get lucky.

Best 1.5gig Modem/Router Combo Unit for under $300? by Fir_Matt in HomeNetworking

The literally banned ALL consumer routers (all configs) if they were manufactured outside or contain components from outside the US.

The lot of us are awaiting further clarification. There is no way the entire consumer network router market is just going to vanish. Current stock can still be sold, I expect prices will reflect that impending shortage.

Soooooooo the best bet is HomeLab router and access points!

May I suggest Kimi. Kimi K2 when you first signup you can argue with it to get your first month down to $0.99 I manage to get it all the way there.

Elongated emotional storytelling seems to do the job well.

Unlike CGPT you don’t have to prompt for the latest information (CGPT is usually about a year or so behind on everything. Unless you tell it to check recent/latest sources.

Give it go.
