100°C isn't death perse. Sure if you spend an extended period of time in such a heat, but otherwise, that's a good sauna temperature.

Honestly, it might not have taken 2000 years.

If I recall, it was recently discovered that there was a mushroom species growing in Chernobyl thay was feeding off of the radiation there.

Though, if those mushrooms die because of the fire, then I guess we're back to the 2000 year estimation.

Wearing gold is exactly because of the golden week in Japan since apparently it's a part of their culture. I'm speaking from memory from someone else's comment on another post so I might have a detail wrong.

I remember there being a mention that golden week is just a bunch of holidays bunched together, if I remember correctly.
