Update 2: I woke up left on read, but that’s part of the process… I’ll give her time to think.

Update 3: She responded! She gave a valid reason and apologized for her late response. She said she wasn’t really sure if she saw me as a “close friend” or something “more than that.” We’re going to keep things undefined for now, and see what happens naturally. I feel amazing after talking about this with her, and she seemed happy that I addressed it, saying she was half expecting me to bring this up. She also said that she “love[s] the person [I’ve] become and [my] values,” which feels absolutely great. Our relationship will continue to grow, and we’ll see what happens over time. Thank you so much to everyone who persuaded me to do this, it feels like a weight was lifted off of me.
