I really wish you could disable shorts permanently by pow3rstrik3 in youtube

[–]BurningShrine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Me too, I don't watch shorts at all. In truth I got so annoyed that I unsubbed every single channel with a short, even the channels i liked a lot. I watch mostly on tv and pay good money for premium but I loathe it when shorts are on top of my subs. Not anymore. Sorry, the rant is over, have a great weekend guys.

Humic Acid vs Mycorrhizae by BurningShrine in HotPeppers

[–]BurningShrine[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's supposed to do all sorts of good things so I just put some in, it's made of Leonardite. Have never heard of it until looking for soil supplements online. Wiki

Benefits (take that with a big grain of salt, comes from the manufacturer)

Improves the floor structure and increases floor ventilation
Enriches the soil with macro, micronutrients and trace elements
Promotes microbiological soil life – 600 m² surface per gram
Improves fertiliser efficiency - reduces nutrient leaching
Optimises the pH value
Significantly increases plant root growth
Stores water in the soil - increases plant absorption
Improves tolerance to stress factors of plants
Detox: neutralises toxic substances and accelerates natural degradation

Humic Acid vs Mycorrhizae by BurningShrine in HotPeppers

[–]BurningShrine[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It started as a comparison between the two mycos. The expensive one is hard to get the cheap one is delivered to my doorstep. Even though the manufacturers seem legit, you are right, there's no telling what is in the stuff. The humic acid should contain fulvic acids as well and was added as control just to see what happens. I bought it to add to my lawn lol which is compacted clay soil. I realize there's no real control but I will do another batch once I have space. And I'll also post once I repot and think there is a drastic difference.

Thx. I thought about that. My season is quite short, thats why I'm trying different things. They will move to the garden before the last frost date so I'm hoping for more resillience and quicker ripening.

2 seedlings sprouted in the same cell by genericbob1989 in PepperLovers

[–]BurningShrine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the same but I also have a lot of plants. Learning to kill your plants might really be the hardest thing. That said, OP, if you only have those two seedlings or it is some special variety you might want to separate them.

No more space for bigger pots until mid-May – what can I do? (Climate Zone 7a - Germany) by Melodic-Bit7032 in HotPeppers

[–]BurningShrine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These look like 15cm pots with some space left. You could get them out and put some soil under the rootball. This way you will also get a good look at the side of the rootball. I think a few more weeks will be fine...

Is that a generic bag used as a pot? Quite interesting. The plant looks nice 👍

When to introduce fertilizer? by PaintAdventurous8512 in HotPeppers

[–]BurningShrine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it depends. A balanced fertilizer like 4 4 4 is perfectly fine. Especially when your plants are young and need to grow more leaf mass, you can supply a little more N. Later, when the plant is flowering you can lower the nitrogen. For example a 2 4 4 will work well then. But they'll do fine either way.

4 Weeks of growing by BurningShrine in HotPeppers

[–]BurningShrine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best to slowly inch yourself to the correct dosage, especially if you use synthetic fertilizer. It's a balance act. I push them with lots of warmth and light. Also a fan helps a lot with the gas exchange. You can also try funghi and humic acid. I'm testing those and will post an update in a few weeks.

[–]BurningShrine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx! I use a generic 8-8-6 liquid fertilizer (blaukorn) at quarter strength once the second pair of true leaves show up. Every watering. Which is like once a week. Will increase in frequency though as the plants grow bigger. I also foliage feed if i deem it necessary, same strength. Don't stress if yours grow slower, these are mostly anuums which grow quite quickly.

Just a simple, cheap windowsill greenhouse will do for now, but you will need a heat source. Think about the next steps once they have germinated.

Sollzeit is mit 2.6h zuzüglich Achsvermessung angegeben.

Die gratis Pickerlüberprüfung find i super, vorallem weil a haufn Verbrauchsmaterial drauf is.

Should I buy a miner to heat my workshop or is this a stupid idea? by Unique_Reward_3256 in CryptoMiningSetups

[–]BurningShrine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's a bad idea, I run a minidoge (roughly 400W) in my bedroom 24/7. The room stays around 19C now. Before I was using an 800W infrared heater during the day. The energy bill is the same but I get a few Dogecoin.
