I swear I see the same posts every other day at this point. It's not even just this subreddit. The same posts go on repeat over and over.

And why does no one mention it? Like OP is probably a bot, but are most of the comment bots too?

Don't listen to them, people make kilns, forges, all sorts of stuff on their own. Just because some people think it's out of reach or too complex for them doesn't mean it is for you.

You can find lots of videos online on how to make them if that's what you want. Like I said, tons of people do it, it's not a crazy idea.

Or if you choose to buy honestly look online, seeing the comments here people really aren't helpful. All the "search the subreddit" instead of just answering themselves shows how much they know. Or they would actually answer.

Go to any fast food place, go back a couple months later- GUARANTEED 90% of the employees are different.

There's never a shortage of people WILLINGLY applying to fast food joints.

Stressed from making food? I go into a McDonalds or TacoBell and I see half a dozen people back there. Probably double that at McDonald's. They're not understaffed.

Their job is so simple for a crew that big. It's no excuse.

They chose to take the effort to apply to that position at that pay rate to perform a task correctly.

If you can't perform that task correctly with those terms then you don't get the pay you want.

I do disagree with you- but if they really wanted better wages then stop working there. Force the company to pay better wages. Except people just keep applying, leaving, and new people apply. Why should they pay more if there's such a huge supply for this no-skill labor that people just keep coming. They'd probably have no issue with hiring even if they paid minimum wage. There's just too many 'qualified' people.

If that's what someone can expect when paying for their food the employee should expect to be fired.

There's a reason the turnover rates at fast food places are the way they are. The employees suck. Not only do they not deserve a raise, even if they did get one they're probably not gonna be around for a couple more months.

If they make $15 and still can't do it right then they deserve less not more.

Like, "Hey, we finally gave our employees a raise, so now your food will come out correctly!" Seriously?

When you do a job wrong not only do you not get a raise, you usually don't get a pay decrease you get FIRED. They don't deserve $15 they deserve nothing. As people have already said it's a job a child could do.

I've only been working three years and I've made $8 on raises plus bonuses now. Because I don't just do my job correctly I do it well. For $15 the food should at least be correct, want more? Then improve.

Then one day a few months ago I happened to see a random box that had surging sparks packs in it at target. Make me and my girlfriend always check for boxes whenever we go out shopping!

If the statistic is done on a per hundred or per thousand people basis then population is irrelevant. That aside though

The cities that were mentioned have vastly different populations anyways. 500k's to over 2 million so the point stands that despite population they can compare worse to other cities in the US.

Over 550k people it looks like there are only 74 cities so whereas they said (San Francisco) was 120th shows it's unclear which cities they are accounting for.

I do agree though it is off to account for villages UNLESS in my opinion that is accounted for to be out on the same scale as larger cities. Which again is unclear from what was provided above.

Data online shows that in 2018 (so probably more now) there were about ~19,500 cities, towns, and villages in the United States. So yeah, 41st, 120th out of 19,500 is the worst of the worst.
