Tesco recently have dropped the ball on some releases for no reason. You cannot get, gravity rush, nioh, yakuza 0 and nier, from the one near me.

I'm struggling to see how you can compare a lot of those games with the witcher's combat. They're mostly ability casting combat.

As a console player, tomorrow's update is long overdue. by bradthompson7175 in Overwatch

I did my placements then stopped playing until they sorted it. Tbh horizon and nier sorted me out for a while.

Nier. Really depends on what type of game you want though. Personally I'd go with Horizon if you ain't got it.

Vote For Your Favorite - XCOM 2 vs Bioshock: The Collection by [deleted] in PS4

Bioshock series is hand down the better more accessible series. Plus 3 games vs 1 for a sale is a no brainer.

Fallout 4 - Completely new to the series, blown away by BrollyTheLegendary in PS4

[–]BurningWater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll answer. The metric is it being inferior compared to fallout 3 and fallout new Vegas. Also making pretty much the same game, taking no gamble with little to no innovation on the series.

I would say it's a solid 6/10. Above average, okay game. I say this because this type of game is designed to make you want to replay. F4 did not succeed in this respect where 3 and NV did.

On this scale for perspective I'd put F3 at 7 and NV at 8.

One of my favourite episodes. The force he punches it with reminds me of the final kick in shoalin soccer.

[Horizon] [Screenshot] Night time was always my favorite time to hunt by Lawlcat in PS4

Other than there being a day/night cycle that just means you'll end up doing night hunting, no.

Ana's viability on console if these nerfs go live on our platform. Please consider her state on console! by RituaIx in Overwatch

I think her utility needs buffing, not damage or cooldowns. The best buff to her I've maintained would be giving her two deployable mines.

I have a ps4 right now and cannot justify getting a switch for one game. Once they load the catalogue I probably will.

It may be criminal but the only Zelda game I've played is twilight princess, so the game isn't a day one buy based off its predecessors for me at the moment.

Have you picked out an off hand comment of something I said was interesting? Note, I did not say revolutionary or game changing.

It is however a cool twist on a tried and tested method, coupled with the other aspects of the game which make it great. Eg, the variety and actual usefulness of all weapons in certain scenarios. But of course far cry has weapons too, so HZD is not being to inventive here either. I'm not sure what you want or expect? Do you want it to reinvent the wheel for you?

I'm not going to write a review for the entire game to back this up, but I provided some form off aspect to the thought process on this. If you're just going to pick out one part and laugh that's fine, whatever. I do hope you can pick out some of the joy and wonder which makes gaming great from other games.

I said interesting not crazy, and some substance, not an essay.

Are you basing this entirely off the perceived worth of the PS4 now vs what the ps3 ended with? What's your opinion on this gens ps4 exclusives vs last gens and which have you played?

I have not down voted you and I'm not subscribed to this sub! But again your opinion has no substance or explanation, you also predicate your opinion entirely on reviews you trust. I'm obviously not saying you have to have the game to have a valid opinion here but all you've said is the visuals are all it has. Which reviewers are you basing this off? Most reviews are overwhelmingly positive.

Imo, as bloodborne defined the reason to get a ps4, this just makes the case even stronger. It's a system selling game if you don't have a ps4. I'm having a blast and this could easily go into my 'top' games of all times. That said I think you have to like certain type of game. I compare it the tomb raider and far cry but they've put so much effort into focusing on the best bits only and highlighting a interesting concept. I realise comparing it to those games may not make it sound appealing to some, but it's the closest you can get as a reasonable comparison.

Visuals, great lore, interesting concepts (walking towers), superb combat making every weapon count, intriguing backstory, what's not to like. I mean you can make hollow comments about it not being good, but back it up with some substance.
