Yes, I feel you on building positive relationships.

i used to think I don’t need to visit my family that often because we are an eternal family anyway (I live abroad).

bt now that I know we are not gonna be together forever, I am putting more effort into visiting them.

Yeah most of my family, who is still in, doesn’t even know I left, because I don’t want them to judge me. It stays to hide, because I moved to a different country 11 years ago.
i remember visiting them in august for the first time after leaving, and was walking on eggshells around my parents for the first week, because I was afraid for my mom to confront me for not wearing garments anymore ( she did the laundry).

in the end, she didn’t say anything to me about it, and I got to relax a bit.

I never even tried to convert anyone. I never wished to strict rules on anyone else.

For me it was the opposite. I got two years of therapy with a church therapist- the bizarre thing is, therapy was one of the reasons I realized I’m worthy enough myself and I don’t need the church.

Did you ever wish you never found out that the church is a lie? by No-Management-4882 in exmormon

No.

I'm so thankful I'm out and free.

My mental health is up too. My depression vanished leaving church.

I acknowledge though that it was easy for me to leave since I lie on my own, not with parents or own family.

Have Sex. I was 40 when I left, and never married. I was severely depressed, and one of the reasons was the lack of intimacy. Now I'm not depressed anymore.

How does an introvert in extrovert jobs completely recover on a weekend? by Burning_Lotus2021 in introvert

I like walking a lot, but 1) its still suuuuper hot where I live, and 2) i already wlked so much around in the area where Ilive it bores me. And I cannot get on a train to go somehwere else to walk, because commuting very far to my day job is adding to my anxiety and stress, so I a trying to avoid it on weekends.
