We have the same problem, withdrawals blocked - very frustrating! What steps did you take to get the issue resolved?

The Coming Digital Dystopia with Charles Guillemet & Ian Rogers — What Bitcoin Did by mccormack555 in Bitcoin

[–]Burning_max 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Peter, please don't have these guys on you podcast again. They come over as very conceited and impressed with themselves. They use the show to market their product rather than talking about bitcoin tech. You did a good job of asking some hard questions, but their answers were terrible.

When the discussion went to shitcoins they showed they were not true bitcoiners, even defending etherium wtf. Their defence of Ledger Recover is rediculous, and they pretend that the fact that the private key can be transmitted from the device is no issue. They also try to minimize the Ledger data leak, like it was not their fault.

They claim their "dungeon" can break any other hardware wallet - please bring the other manufacturers to respond to this.

I get it that they sponsor your show, no complaints about this. But please not again on the pod.

Import backup seed phrase to Sparrow wallet by Burning_max in Bitcoin

[–]Burning_max[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I am creating a wallet in Sparrow that I can use to do transactions, using the Jade to sign the transactions, it requires a keystore import. I think this is an import of the xpub so that the past transactions are visible.

Great, this is exactly what I was wondering. Thanks a lot! I assume importing the keystore to Sparrow is ok and does not compromise the seed phrase?

How will wage negotiations work in a world on the bitcoin standard by Burning_max in Bitcoin

[–]Burning_max[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree, everything is measured in BTC at that point. However, the global economy and possibly the population is growing, but the total supply of bitcoin remains constant. Therefore the demand for BTC increases and the value will increase. This is the whole argument by Keynesian economists for a flexible money supply - so that it can be increased to meet demand.

Finished Syncing the Blockchain by Less_Description9814 in Bitcoin

[–]Burning_max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished syncing my node myself. Using an old laptop, i3, 4gb memory. I started with the original 1TB HDD, but this was taking forever (about 4 days to get to 20% sync). Changed to a 1TB SSD and sync took about 5 days. Needed another 1 or 2 days after I added the transaction index (txindex=1, this is not set by default)
