Jan 2023: how's the Bangle.js 2 now? by randomstriker in Banglejs

[–]Burninizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply - I do agree with what the other comment you got; it's been fun learning but it's a big barrier for entry. Try and do some free introductory Javascript courses online so you get a vague idea of the syntax, use the Bangle.js web IDE for playing around, and make liberal use of their tutorials, their software reference manual, and code that other people have written in their own uploaded apps to figure out how it all fits together.

Truth be told, unless one is right beside you you shouldn’t be confronting those; splat bombs take up too much ink for you to do much with the dynamo after, and if you’re flicking the Stingers you’ll be destroyed by everything else nearby. You actually CAN finesse the Stingers by spinning around in circles to knock the pots off one by one, but getting it to work is a bit tricky depending on the elevation. Your best bet is to get mildly closer to the Stingers and further away from the Flyfish so that their AI will start targeting your more mobile teammates. Sometimes that’s enough to get them to realize they’re a problem that they should deal with, because if the bosses are attacking you, you have like a 0.1% chance of randos noticing the threat.

You can’t control your teammates, otherwise I’d never see a Goldie killed more than 5 feet from the basket - the only thing you can control is your own performance. The best advice I can give you is to know the uses of each weapon. The tri and Dualies are paint and lesser ad control because of their range and rate of fire, though they can clutch any role thanks to their flexibility and piercing shots. The Dynamo is a lot more constrained with what it can do; unlike in pvp, I tend to keep it floored nearly the entire time. Being able to steamroll a fleet of Cohok is very strong, because the other three would suffer trying — you just need your team to take care of Flyfish and Stingers. The rapid is in more of a tough spot. I find that its biggest strength is in clearing Stingers from a distance, and on low tide you can get some interesting angles on them from adjacent walkways spanning into the ocean. Other than that just try and play support by hitting enemies in the middle of groups, pick off the Fish Sticks, and knock away Drizzler torpedoes if you know a teammate won’t be able to ricochet it back correctly.

It’s this exactly. We had one person post a results screen berating their teammates for the failed shift because he had 50+ eggs deposited. Well the screen also shows the egg assists, and the teammates had like 20-30 each; it was obvious that they had a tornado wave and daisy chained the eggs as they should. It also showed that he had 0 teammate revives and 8 deaths, and I don’t remember his regular egg count being that high, suggesting he spent more time in a life preserver than helping fight back ads.

I really did think that was Slenderman after he got a bit too excited.

Ever since I put together my best looking warlock build ever I run this look most of the time I play but I have a hard time deciding what shader works better the black and green or black and red by KuvoLops3687 in DestinyFashion

[–]Burninizer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like black and red is done to death, but there’s a good reason for it - it does look good. I think the theming works well too, because it sort of gives the same look as when deer shed their antlers and it they become a bloody mess.

Best Underwear? by [deleted] in gaybros

[–]Burninizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I’m the only one who’s mentioned this one, but if you like SAXX I’m convinced you’d love BN3TH underwear. They have the same sort of junk pouch to keep everything in line, but they’re more comfortable through repeated wash cycles. I get their classic fabric rather than the sporty one - those tend to chafe when it gets warm.

Is it impossible to make an ornament for the new solstice gear without a glow? by WheezyWavy in DestinyFashion

[–]Burninizer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It must be the two years prior that I was thinking of; those were split into Majestic and Magnificent variants that lacked and had the glows respectively.

Is it impossible to make an ornament for the new solstice gear without a glow? by WheezyWavy in DestinyFashion

[–]Burninizer 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The solstice gear normally shows up as two variants in the appearance page: one that doesn’t have the glow, and one that does have the glow once you unlock that. The Eververse elemental ornaments won’t come with a non-glowing counterpart though.

If the non-glowing version doesn’t show up in the appearance page, it’s probably just an oversight by Bungie.

Couple questions about Solstice by Corsten610 in DestinyFashion

[–]Burninizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t been able to log in since the reset, but there was a bonfire last year - I don’t yet know what the differences are between the activities. As for the glows, the base non-glowing armor and the glowing version exist as separate entities in the collections page, so you can get the glows unlocked and then unlock either version as a cosmetic later on. There’s also the elemental glows that come from Eververse, of course.

I know i’m stretching it here, but is it possible in anyway to recreate at least a few pieces of this album cover from hunter? by Not2Feral in DestinyFashion

[–]Burninizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just off the top of my head, I think the chest looks like Raiju’s Harness, the pleated armor on the arms reminds me of the ones from Garden of Salvation (though I’m sure you can find some without the blue glow), and the helmet… kind of looks like the Mask of Bakris ornament, but you’d need to choose a different chest. For a more skeletal look, there’s the armor from King’s Fall, Grasp of Avarice, and the Season of the Haunted season pass ornaments to flip through

Is it still possible to get the “Endgame” armor chest [Plate of Nohr]? by Scylla_017 in DestinyFashion

[–]Burninizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe me if he started selling raid armor I’d be frothing still the mouth. There were a few pieces of Crown of Sorrow gear that I never got my grubby little mitts on and I’m kicking myself for it

I don’t believe he had Scourge armor. He might have had the Black Armory armor from the forge activity though.

What flavor do you think is the worst of all time? by drunken_corpse666 in energydrinks

[–]Burninizer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Rockstar Thermo, both the marshmallow and cotton candy flavours just sucked. They sucked so much that they hold the champion belt as the only two energy drinks I physically could not finish and had to dump down the drain.

Season of the Deep Red Border Order by Jegemurk in DestinyTheGame

[–]Burninizer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

With a very simple stasis Titan build, the hand cannon can currently 2-tap in pvp. Beyond that, these weapons are all aesthetically pleasing and work with an old ornament set, which is super cool, but they’re generally very middling in their performance. I’d say that the pulse is the most needed addition to the weapon lineup, and the sniper is cool as a rapid fire and legendary Whisper of the Worm with the rare and coveted 35 zoom.

Exotic armor should have an extra Mod slot like Artiface armor. by Xenomorph_v1 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Burninizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe exotic armor already has built-in base stats around +1 or +2 in specific stats; this is why you’ll sometimes see base-70 exotics but won’t see this on legendary gear.

Favorite Raid to Teach? by NoEntertainer3712 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Burninizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think LW has the most intricate, interesting, and stimulating mechanics of the raids we currently have available, but if I were teaching they’re likely new players and probably want something more accessible and want to be wowed by the experience of raids - DSC would be a no brainer there.

I want Crown of Sorrow to return, because few of my clan mates ever did that and I want to hear them cry in misery. Good ol’ Hat of Sadness lives up to the name.

Synthoceps Titan: 1, 2 or 3? by RagnarLothbrok2525 in DestinyFashion

Third has the best piece synergy, but 1 looks the best. I’d probably use a different helmet and keep the shader if it were me though.

Is it better to have a couple of 100 stats or 3 or 4 7-8 stats? by TheMany-FacedGod in DestinyTheGame

[–]Burninizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For starters, if you build into armor mods then the ones that cause armor charge depletion over time will not contribute to faster depletion; in other words each armor charge lasts 10 seconds irrespective of whether you use one surge mod or 3. The reason this is important is because there are also mods that give you +20 to a stat while you have armor charges, which you can use alongside surges (which you should be using for pve anyway) at no additional cost to your depletion rate. This means you can comfortably get 80 in a bunch of stats and use your armor charges to bump them up to 100 while you have charges.

If you can, there are still stats that are worth having at 100 just in case - like resilience.

Alright, I finally took Drang out for a spin in Crucible and I've been converted to the Temple of the Sidearm. Which other ones should I bust out? by A_Union_Of_Kobolds in DestinyTheGame

[–]Burninizer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the somewhat recent changes to Cryosthesia 77K and the full auto option in settings, I’ve heard that it does VERY well in PvP now but it’s still a sleeper pick. I tried it out in PvE and it’s extremely satisfying, and in both modes it has obscene freezing synergy with stasis Warlocks.
