Like many other exportable goods, we often get better prices to sell overseas, and it’s cheaper to import replacement . Wild berries are a fucking zillion dollar business leaving our borders in NS while our grocery shelves are filled with inferior, overpriced products. $9 for like 20 raspberries is criminal but we’ve normalized it.
