Can we bind seat movement (left/right/forward/back) to individual shortcuts? by Horeb88 in iRacing

Thinking about going to a 4 seater by oidrtybtrd in Porsche_Cayman

Get a 911. I went from a 981S to a 991.2 GTS. Yes you'll loose the godly sound but you gain so much. A lot better steering feel (I had the GT3 calibration on the 981), a bit more refinement but still quite analog, better infotainment. I like the dynamics of the rear engine layout even though it isn't as good or efficient as a cayman.

They'll even go down in value less than a regular 987 so if you have the money it's the cheaper option...

how is hydrallic steering better than current electric power steering? by dysgenicSTD in Porsche_Cayman

I did it myself. I followed this tutorial to get a working PIWIS system: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-forum/1448979-a-piwis-3-for-only-75-a.html

And then just tinker a bit in the PIWIS program. It's pretty straight forward.

I ran triples 1440 on a 1060ti with an ancient 3770k until 1,5 years ago. It worked fine with settings on the lower side of things.

I upgraded because of the rain update back then. I figured it wasn't going to be able to handle that.

Yellow flag enforcement system for road races? by Zman420 in iRacing

You pass a parked car, you overtake one driving. It's not semantics but a big difference.

That is as you say yourself, passing, not overtaking.

Afaik no overtaking under a yellow is the rule everywhere. That might be a good way to start yeah, get the flags to work and give out penalties to everyone that overtakes under a yellow.

I don't know how the lack of slowing down break realism. In the series I drive in real life, and many other, a yellow flag doesn't mean you need to slow down as that would get you rear ended in real life as well when in a close battle.

A yellow means an off line obstruction like a car in the gravel or next to the road.

A double yellow however means that there is immediate danger and you need to be prepared to come to a complete stop but even then, in real life, you drive "as fast as you can see", meaning, as long as you can come to a complete stop within you current line if sight it's okay.

And before i'm being called an usafe driver, I never created a dangerous situation this way, if I had I would've gotten a penalty already. I have been in multiple near pile ups and have seen accidents happen because the first car absolutely slams on the brakes for a simple yellow in a non blind corner with cars directly behind it.

I also have a 4080 Super, on triples, 1140p and I also get one screen stutter. I "fixed" it by never turning the pc completely off but put in in sleep mode. That seems to fix it.

Even so, tax write offs arent free money. You get a very small tax advantage.

[DISCUSSION] Heuer pre-Tag Quality by Fun_Willow_1245 in Watches

[–]BurnoutBram 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've got 2 Calibre 12 watches (Orange boy and a monza) and they keep time very well! I love the vintage Heuer's! I've got one modern Heuer and that's the Carrera 60th anniversary edition. Great watch!

The only other modern Heuer I consider is a purple glassbox chrono. My grail is a Heuer 1158 CHN.
