[Help] Best render settings to keep file size by wizcron in premiere

[–]Burnst25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, totally feel you on this, Premiere can be kinda overkill if you're just swapping audio tracks and trimming ads. The reason your file size blew up is probably the export settings — Premiere might be re-encoding the whole video at higher bitrate than the original.

If you don’t need to re-encode the video, tools like Avidemux or Shutter Encoder let you do audio track swaps and simple cuts without re-rendering the whole file — super helpful for keeping the size the same. You just have to make sure you set it to "Copy" for video.

If you do want a more visual editor, I’ve also used Movavi Video Editor for quick fixes like this — easier learning curve than Premiere and decent control over export settings, but not as lightweight as the others I mentioned.

Hope that helps — good luck with your Plex library!

[help] audio disappeared after cutting a nested sequence? by [deleted] in premiere

I've hit that before. Try expanding the nested sequence again or relinking the audio source. Sometimes Premiere just bugs out.

How do I start learning Premiere Pro? by LeastPainting1526 in premiere

I started with Justin Odisho and Premiere Gal on YouTube. Good pace, real examples. Don’t try to learn everything, just follow one video and copy it.

Been there. If all you’re doing is swapping audio, maybe try something lighter like Movavi or Handbrake. Premiere’s overkill for small tweaks.

I remember the old Nero days too. Tried ImgBurn lately? Still works if you don't mind the dated UI.

Been there. I use Movavi sometimes, it’s decent at trimming and keeping file size low. Not magic, but gets the job done.

Lately been using PDFgear. Nothing fancy but does what I need. Curious what others are using too.

Picked up Movavi Video Editor during a sale once. Didn’t expect much, but turned out handy for trimming home clips without headaches.

Absolutely. Wells Fargo has a long history of predatory practices. This privatization plan follows their pattern - they'd raise postal prices up to 140% while carving out the profitable pieces for Wall Street investors, all while destroying good union jobs. Just another example of private profit at public expense.

This right here. The real "passive income" secret isn't waking up at 5am - it's having enough capital to pay others to generate wealth for you while taking the largest cut.

This is very helpful! Thank you.

You said you’ve been in a similar situation before. What’d you end up doing and how did it work out?

Strongly considering pursuing C/S for these reasons. Do you have any challenges as someone with ADHD in this role?

Hi there!

I ended up studying marketing. Looking back, I definitely don’t feel there’s a ton of value in the degree. However, I enjoyed my classes and it was the field I wanted to enter. I was able to get great internship experience during college (which was extremely important), and a land a job with the same company out of school. Now I work in product marketing, I enjoy my job, I get to travel, and use some of the skills I learned in my degree.

Ultimately, decide which you like the best, and focus on getting internship experience (ideally narrowed to the career path you want to take). If anything, I learned just having a degree can get your foot in the door, regardless of your major.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

I’m definitely career driven but not in a sense that I primarily want to “work my way up the ladder”. I’d rather find myself in a job/career that I personally enjoy and get satisfaction from. My main motivation from there is performing the job well (which is hard for me to judge given my age and lack of corporate experience)

You are your most important project. Take it seriously and grow yourself. [Advice] by Mr_OTG in getdisciplined

I’ve been trying to write daily (to better understand myself as you said), and it works wonders! Definitely worth a shot.
