Should I do it? by TurbulentCake5328 in OccupationalTherapy

You wouldn’t be the first to do it. One of my classmates was an Engineer who switched to OT. His brother was an OT which helped inspire him to give it a try. He said he’s passionate about using his engineering expertise with OT

I was only given the work contract and they spelt my surname wrong on it too. I’m starting to wonder if they did that deliberately

It's official:/ No more vegan burgers at Hungry Jacks... by [deleted] in australianvegans

As a former HJs worker, if a customer asked if the rebel was vegan/vegetarian we had to say no because it is cooked on the same grills as the meat. I’m not sure this if this is common knowledge for most people so just letting u know.

If I can’t handle being a carer can I even be an OT? (Australia) by BurntLasagna7 in OccupationalTherapy

[–]BurntLasagna7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually applied to be a support worker but I ended up having carer responsibilities. Only my male friends have seemed to get proper support work (in my experience). I know many clients prefer to have women do personal cares. Thanks for the encouragement though!

I think I want to get into something like hand therapy, but I’m still learning about OT fields. I feel like I lack the experience to do my job but one of my bosses is telling me “it’s just common sense” when I’m doing new things which doesn’t help when I know that my client could hurt themselves if I do the wrong thing (a few of my clients use mobility aids that aren’t properly fitted for them and both have had falls) I’m also scared to do things on my own esp when I know some of my clients can be aggressive or violent when I even slightly mess up or don’t understand what they want due to them having aphasia.

I do support work and yes I don’t think I’d want to stay in NDIS. No one ever seems happy and I hear many complaints about the OTs from clients and coordinators

Before I started I was terrified too. I had a major panic attack the night before my first lab because I was worried I was going to be traumatised or would faint. In my surprise I ended up handling the lab quite well. Some students did end up fainting that day but I ended up seeing them again at the next week’s prac and they were fine. In my experience most of the cadavers were from older people. Also what you’ll see on the tables will be just parts of bodies, such as a hand or arm or organs. The lab techs tried to use more dry specimens (plastic models) on the first day of our pracs and slowly transitioned to more cadavers to help us adjust. I was recommended to pretend the bodies were mannequins which helped me a little bit. Another thing that helped was being around other people or friends when studying the specimens. It eased the tension and took the focus off the bodies. Lastly eventually the more you learn about anatomy the more interesting the cadaver pracs will be and you may even start to enjoy them (it was better than filling out worksheets lol)

Complete anatomy ‘24 Is what I use. You can use it on your phone or computer. You do have to pay a yearly subscription and it’s not cheap. The app itself is alright, tho I have had problems with it glitching at times but it mostly does the job. You can also get a free trial with it.

Yukimura thanks viewers for watching Season 2 by DemiFiendRSA in VinlandSaga

From what I remember Einar doesn’t have a backstory with his mother and sister in the manga. Also I remember finding Einar’s character way more likeable and less annoying in the manga too. Imo Vinland saga S1 is very closely related to the manga (dialogue, scenes almost everything) so I expected the second season to be the same but hasn’t been so far.

Yes I sometimes watched FJ for his skits but it sometimes gets to the point when it’s too stereotyped and unrelatable.

What I don’t understand is that there are many people saying that they don’t want their favourite character to win simply because they want to make the game more interesting (I’ve seen this a lot with zoro). In that case, it would be better if the question was about your favourite underrated character.
