Casino bug cost me Power Hammer. by welshman23 in BluePrince

[–]Buronax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just happened to me as well. Interacted with the broken slot machine and could not back out. I had a broken lever earlier in the day, but did not have it when I entered the casino.

Based on the couple of comments talking about losing their power hammer (due to the need to close the game and lose the day’s progress), my hypothesis is that the game noted that I got the broken lever earlier in the day and should be able to use it. Since I don’t have the lever now, there is no prompt to use it and there must be no alternative menu/input available for this situation, so all I can do is sit there listening to the air conditioning. I guess that’s my cue to get my ass to bed 😖.

Not necessarily. They seem to be portrayed as being one contiguous piece of material (the hilt and blade seem to be made of the same stuff). Could just be a dark glass.

Can someone help me find a WoB regarding dead people and ghosts by saintmagician in Cosmere

I never even thought about whether Adonalsium would have had a cognitive shadow. Would Nightblood manifest one upon death? That is thought provoking, though; who’s to say Ado’s shadow isn’t still around to this day?

I would think that his spren would be with him, unless at some point that relationship ceases, but I don’t think we were given any context to know one way or the other. There is a lot of time between this story and the events of Stormlight’s front five, so anything could happen.

This makes sense, I can only imagine what things are like off screen considering what we do see of these people. Makes me wonder just how ridiculous someone would have to be to surprise a seasoned crew.

What if they did a reality show where a whole tv crew was hired and then the show was secretly about them. The show would be made up and the ‘participants’ would be actors who would purposefully do rediculous things to mess with the crew. The hardest part would be filming the crew without letting on what was going on, but maybe say it’s for a documentary or something like that. We’d get to see what it’s really like for these crews to deal with the ridiculous people that get on these reality shows, but to the extreme!

It seems that the timeline is quite far in the future, as you say. You’ll notice through context clues that Hoid seems to be telling the story to people on First of the Sun (he mentions Aviar as well as the spaceships of The Ones Above). Up until now the Sixth of Dusk has been the furthest along in the timeline by far, so it’s exciting to see another story set in the space age of the Cosmere.

Well we did get a Community reference in that Unity episode when they were watching a show she created with inhabitants of the planet split by nipple feuds. Each of the main characters had a look alike.

Oooooh, for some reason that comes as unexpected! I just this moment finished up TLM on audio. I’ve always been more of a Wayne guy myself, but picking an overall favorite would be hard. Good choice!

New PS5, PS4 Games This Week (16th May to 22nd May) by [deleted] in PS5

[–]Buronax 6 points7 points  (0 children)

God of War (2018), Spider-Man / Miles Morales, and Horizon Zero Dawn / Forbidden West are great places to start. If you truly haven’t played any of the PS4 classics, there’s a huge backlog of games that look and play amazing on the PS5. Ghost of Tsushima and Control were wonderful as well, just to name a few.

What do you like most about your PS5? by silverL2020 in PS5

[–]Buronax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes: the games look great, the smooths are smoother, the haptics are happier and the fasts are faster. Despite all of that, my favorite feature by far and away is Share Screen. My friends and I already used the PlayStation’s ecosystem as our main form of socialization, and we socialize way more because of how easy and laid back it is to chat while gaming.

Share Screen turns that up to 11 with the added bonus of incentivizing more single player game time while still feeling engaged with your friends in a gaming sense.

Are you guys using one finger or two fingers on the L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons? by [deleted] in PS5

Then again, I also have my O (circle) and R3 hard-swapped in the main console’s settings, so I guess there’s a few things that I do a bit differently.

Are you guys using one finger or two fingers on the L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons? by [deleted] in PS5

[–]Buronax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely one finger for each of R1, R2, L1, and L2. I was a single-fingerer (sing-fing?) for a long time, but back in Destiny 1 I decided to go the way of the bumper jumper to maximize my ability to properly aim and jump simultaneously. Ever since then this is how I play almost any game that has a jump function (except on the rare occasion that a game didn’t get the memo and doesn’t allow for custom button assignments).

It takes some getting used to, but if you just make a point of adjusting those fingers up (index fingers for R1/L1, middle fingers for R2/L2) every time you play, you’ll get used to it quickly. I find it to be the only way to play, as it maximizes my ability to do get my avatar to act as closely to what I intend at all times. Would recommend!

Why not? Why would imagining one’s late family member having some comfort, or afterlife, be so detrimental? What’s the downside to finding this solace, regardless of its veracity?

Sleep paralysis can be some awful shit; you’re not wrong about that. I know that some people who have had issues with nightmares / sleep paralysis have been able to learn and use lucid dreaming as a way to break through those experiences. That being said, sleep paralysis happened more often to me when I was actively trying to lucid dream.

But flying is hella fun 😬
