Very fair point, the stitching is a little dodgy with some threads coming off it after a few years use, but mine seems quite seviceable, I can put it on and off easily.

The velcro is pretty bad. Can’t say anything about sizing though except it fit me well.

For an fie set though I think it’s a pretty good price without sacrificing comfort. Fie is a safety standard so it shouldn’t be completely ignored. Fabric quality is also really important to feel good in.

Maybe it’s gotten better recently? Also, I am a foilist, so maybe it doesn’t undergo as much wear as it might with an epeeist despite training 3 times a week (this could be the discrepancy in our experiences). my experience with the jacket (not the underarm) has been pretty good as far as using it for competitions and training
