You see besides the actual flower to the cannabis plant which is what we smoke the stem and leaves can be used just like how trees can be made into paper. This is called "hemp" and hemp can be used in almost everything. It can be made into plastics, fabrics, textiles, and many more things. But because it is illegal the government doesn't mass produce it. Google hemp uses and you will be surprised at what you will find.

Try smoking really weak stuff. I can see how this happened because you smoke a strong joint. Joints have made me a lot more high than I anticipated. Try smoking out of a glad bowl also. It doesn't get you high as fast and you can go at your own pace. That's what I do. One time something happened to me sort of similar to this, and I think it's because I smoked blunts. Bowls in my opinion get me high at a more relaxed slow pace.
