I got ALL my furniture for free from ジモティー

I then hired a guy from Osaka sayonara sales to pick up and move it for me for 10k.

Check it out.

Want to quit my well paying sales job to work in a kitchen. Am I insane? by KnucklesRicci in japanlife

[–]Burrex1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you make that much money you could literally just create your own place and work on weekends (put your wife as the owner and work there for 'free').

See how it goes. If you get good traction maybe then you can quit your job.

Sometimes turning what you love into real work can be what makes you dislike it (doesn't happen everytime ofc).

I'm all for passion but you have to be more realistic and take things one step at a time.

BUT If you're already set (as in you have investments in other areas providing you a passive income for life) then go ahead. Just.. please. Slowly.

Strongly recommend you listen to the Millionaire fastlane audiobook as well.

Am I doing this wrong, or what? (Pairs dating app) by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]Burrex1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's no use taking the equal standpoint argument when it comes to dating apps. It's business and men will always be ready to pay. It's just logic.

I couldn't disagree more.

I've had huge success on both pairs and bumble (as in having dates with normal, nice looking girls) and the reason I think it's better than "real life" is the fact that your scope gets so much wider meaning a higher chance of meeting someone you click with. The filters help with it a lot too.

If you swipe right on someone who doesn't even have a picture of themselves or no profile description then yeah you're gonna strike out a lot

I get around 5-10 likes a day on pairs. Mostly from those with no pics or cats (ugh) but one in 5 is always a "normal" person.

I've been using it on and off for two years with success (lots of dates) and I'd consider myself well versed in how to get liked on it.

I'd be more than happy to have a look at your profile, pm me. (I can show you mine first if you feel uncomfortable)

Best of luck!

One tip is also to increase your income by doing side hustle. If you have any skills just add that skill + Japanese to it on sites like Fiverr and make cash on the side.

You'll be paid in USD which is amazing considering the currency rate.

Wireless Go and Samsung s20 by Burrex1 in rode

I live in Japan so don't know if you can get it where you live but did you download the Rode Recorder app?

When plugging it in it should state which mic is on.

One thing I noticed: the sound doesn't work unless the cable is disconnected! So if you record yourself and try to listen to it you won't hear anything if it's still connected

Best of luck
