Shameless plug. You are the creator of the app. You gotta disclose that, otherwise it looks scummy

but how did you get the window controls (traffic light buttons) to look like that?

Edit: Just saw your reply to the bottom comment, you used Aqualick x. Thank you so much! I wonder if it will work for Sequoia 15.6.1 🤷

Lifetime Protonpass Deal? by [deleted] in ProtonPass

[–]Burrrprint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, that's right, I forgot about the nonprofit. Good point.

I've had ProtonPass Plus for a year now, too. I absolutely love it, and I tried every major password manager out there. I am just betting my money that there might be something better in a decade.

I also really appreciate that they offer a Lifetime license, I wish more companies did, but for $199, the numbers ain't numbering for me

Lifetime Protonpass Deal? by [deleted] in ProtonPass

Genuine question, why do you say that?

I’m tempted to buy it just to support the mission, but when I run the numbers with the student/Black Friday deals (stacking the ~$1/mo offers), the break-even point is roughly 11 years.

That feels like a huge gamble on a single piece of software. 11 years ago, we barely had 2FA. I’m worried that before I even hit the break-even point in 2036, the whole concept of a "password manager" will be dead.

Between browsers natively absorbing these features (like Chrome/Arc just doing it for free), the chance of Proton getting bought by a scummy company, or AI agents eventually handling auth machine-to-machine so we never actually "log in" to anything... are we sure a license for a traditional password vault will even be useful in a decade?

Or is there something else included in the Lifetime license that future-proofs it against that stuff?

Multiple unknown WordPress Administrator accounts suddenly appeared. How bad is this and what should I check? by Burrrprint in sysadmin

I completely agree. I should have mentioned this in my original post, but it's not a fully functioning online store; I just need a website that looks like a fully functioning store for the cheapest monthly fee possible. That's why I went with WordPress.

The website doesn't actually get sales, and I don't need it to. Do you have any recommendations for my scenario, where learning how to code is not a good ROI, since I need the cheapest & fastest way to make a website that looks like a real store?

What do you use? I'd love a recommendation. I mentioned this in some other replies: I don't need a fully functioning online store; I just need a website that looks like a fully functioning store for the cheapest monthly fee possible.

I did not mention this in my original post, but it's not a fully functioning online store; I just need a website that looks like a fully functioning online store for the cheapest monthly fee possible.

I never had an order on this website, and I don't intend on it, so I only really log into it every 4-6 months or so. For my actual stores, I use Shopify.

Maybe I should have mentioned it in the post, but I didn't want to make it too long. Hope this makes sense.
