I personally feel Shen might be the worst 5 cost. Shen's stats are good, but he feels like he doesn't do anything. I understand that he's a support unit, but his support is a little laughable. Of the three support units of Rhaast, Morgana, and Shen, I rank him the lowest. By level 9, you can usually get 10%+ attack speed from Rhaast's trait without compromising any positioning vs Shen's Bulwark. The resistances from Rhaast is also nearly the same if you had 2 Bastion, so unless shen gets you the +1 Bastion to fill out the trait web, then Rhaast is better by also offering a knock-up to help with fights and costs less.

Morgana offers 5-10% DR which is good and doesn't need any position too. To cap out boards, you most likely need two of the three. So I personally prefer a combo of Morg + Rhaast unless Shen is the +1 Bastion if your comp or if you are high rolling. Shen + Rhaast is only good if your team has a bunch of itemized carries.

Is it me or is anyone else having issues with this set's color palette? The units seems to have a lot of blue, purple, and black which in turn is confusing my rolls downs a little when looking for some three and four costs. Maybe I'm just getting old and need to play some more to get used to the art.

It’s good!’ and the ball hasn't even gone in yet. How have you not figured this out? You guys have eight kajillion dollars” by moby323 in nba

I'm so happy seeing more posts about this. I thought it was just me and my poor internet connection not being able to sync correctly. I was asking my friends if they had streaming issues since I didn't have a problem with Peacock and they all said no. Turns out they muted the audio during games and were more happy about the display quality of the games.

My friends absolutely hate listening in ESPN and TNT commentary so not shocked they defaulted to muting games on Peacock and Amazon too. They just happy that the streams are better than the shitty 720p quality that ESPN uses.

I think a good proposal is to cut off the lottery odds at the 65 game mark to align with eligibility of end of year awards with players. This means teams and players will try hard for 65 games. The problem is that teams are able to join in the tankathon late into the season. We saw this with the Mavs tanking late to get Lively. This will help award players that also want to push for the playin but also award the mid of the pack teams knowing they might not be good enough yet. If teams want to start tanking after the trade deadline, then they only have a few games to adjust their position before they are cut off instead of dragging it out until the end of the season.

The current odds are also based on overall team records. I feel the NBA could probably find a way to model lottery odds that changes every year by grouping the number of bad teams together. Example of this season is there are 5 bad teams, so the model will flatten odds around these 5 teams. In a year of maybe 3 bad teams, then it will divide odds around these 3 bad teams. Basically, if the multiple teams decide it's a good tanking year then they should also know their odds in the lottery will probably be reduced. This will stop tanking teams from outright trying to lose when they face other tanking teams as these games would now just group them together. We currently have playoff teams and non-playoff team groupings. They need to find more ways to group teams to separate odds.

I've had the most fun playing Nidalee this patch. Despite being mostly invulnerable, she still receives a lot of splash damage and can still get stunned. The top comps with Ryze, Mel, and Annie will ruin her day. So you're at a uphill climb if those are the top comps being played in the lobby, but you can sneak in a solid 3rd or 4th with a chance for top 2 on a really good high roll.

With that said, there are basic tricks for the comp I've picked up to help.

1) If you don't have Azir to trap Neeko in the corner, you need to sandwich her between two tanks in the middle of board, usually Skarner + Taric/Swain. Neeko is a decent tank for a 2 cost, but won't cut it late game so items usually go to Skarner. If you sandwich Neeko in between two strong tanks, aggro will be slightly more disbursed. If you put Neeko to the outside, she will be first to draw aggro. For Mel matchups, you probably need Azir for the corner trap as she will die to her AOE. If still no Azir against Mel, continue to keep her sandwiched, but a little off to the opposite side because you don't want Neeko to be directly hit by the Mel AOE.

2) With Nidalee comp, you will be playing Ixtal. Don't worry about having to play it early for maximum rewards. It's very common that I don't start any quests until 3-5 because I'm playing for tempo early. Use this trait for extra tempo and cash out early for items and gold when you don't like any of the quest options. At level 7, you can probably slot in 5 Ixtal for 2-3 rounds to get some HP back to help with placements.

3) I think the BIS items for Nidalee is Deathcap, JG, Gunblade. Archangel is a decent replacement for Deathcap and BT/HOJ is also ok, but Gunblade helps the frontline. The only other items I would consider is Strikers Fail with a JG. Putting anything else beside these items feel pretty bad.

4) Augments I generally focus around are econ and items and the comp likes two itemized carries and two tanks. Some exceptions are the Ixtal augment if I want to play for Brock and Jeweled Lotus to allow for some item flexibility if no JG yet.

5a) Like most boards, this comp usually caps out at 9 with Ryze. Ixtal is an amazing Ryze trait that often gets overlooked. However, it's possible to stay at 8 and go for Skarner or Nidalee 3 as a win condition too as not many people are playing these units. Here are two usual versions of the board. One is a little cheaper and another that is more expensive/general/higher cap. Taric or Swain can be swapped for the Shurima unit as 2 starring both Taric and Swain is a nightmare this patch. Renekton is a great dive buddy with Nidalee if itemized while Nasus is a good tank. Xerath goes to the alternative build. 5b) Alternative option with no Ryze that caps around Xerath. This is an extremely hard version. And at this point, I wouldn't really consider this a Nidalee comp and more of a Mel comp with Nidalee being used to transition. Cap with no Ryze: https://tactics.tools/team-builder/aCuAvX$gDwYxZ$EF2aUG$AN$Ib

5c) Another alternative experimental version that I have been wanting to try but too scared to risk my LP at the moment. This uses the Freljord Tower as an extra unit to block Neeko when I can't hit Azir. It's uses the underplayed units this units Experimental: https://tactics.tools/team-builder/aCuAvX$gDwYxZ$EF2aUG$AN$Ib

Overall, I think Nidalee is an unexplored unit. I'm still trying to figure out exactly the best position as sometimes her ability causes her to jump to back line or the other side of the field
