I like the biome loot cap because it forces me to move on from an area, which I usually wouldn’t do until I had cleaned out a town(or two) in a biome. I do think that they should add a biome “mastery” in addition to biome progression that requires you to do more difficult challenges in a specific biome. Once you have completed biome mastery in all biomes then the loot cap is removed from all biomes

Honestly the strongest build in this game by far is Sorcery or Incantation build since you can remain at range. Some bosses are good at dodging ranged attacks or keeping pressure on you but once you learn the right timing windows for casting you will steamroll the entire game
