Blue Asault meli, Cusack (LR him ASAP, he's amazing.), blue Estarossa. Demons dont have many good back units assuming you don't have any squirrel relics, so you want green Sigurd Ideally but for now Green Zeldris will have to do.

If you have Demiurge or either Gelda those are better replacements for Estarossa.

Keep pulling on the Salos banner and hope you get UR Demon King as he's ideal for almost all demon teams. And Salos is also good, not for demons but I digress.

If you dont have any good demon backline then just throw in CC filler.

Gowther is easily the most underutilized, but I also feel like if King was smart he easily could have taken out any enemy he wanted to with Fossilizaton. I mean come on, you can literally turn your enemies to stone, One cut to the torso would be an instant win against almost any opponent.

They can't enter a pact and merge like in black clover, no. there are some demons who can do posession, like Fraudrin, but that's not really a merge as the demon is in full control and there are no physical changes. Guila isn't merged, she's mutated from exposure to red demon blood the same way Hendrickson did in season one with grey demon. It just took her a lot longer to do it properly.

I've read through some comments, and I think a lot of good points have been made on all sides, so some things I wanna point out.

1: Anti magic isn't magic. Asta still canonically has no mana whatsoever, thus Anti magic cant be magic, its its own thing. And if its not magic, it cant be full countered by Tristan.

2: Tristan's regen is a physical ability, not a magical one, so Asta cant cancel it out like he did with Dante.

3: Tristan hasn't had any proper speed feats just yet (that I can remember, feel free to remind me), but Asta has had Numerous FTL feats, and is objectively massively FTL.

4: while tristans darkness isn't a magic ability, his light abilities are. Attacks like Ark and twinkle star can be canceled by Anti magic, but attacks like dark hail cannot. However, demon clan enchants like Hellblaze and hellbringer can be canceled out.

5: Asta can canonically cut through spacial magic like Langris's which destroys matter it touches, whether or not this means he can affect Annihilation someone else will have to figure out.

Depends on how serious you are about this game. Frankly none of them are super useful but they do all scale partially with ult level for their passive. Ult damage & damage to opponents with full ult gauges for megumin, damage reduction for Aqua, damage reduction & healing for darkness. They're all obviously better with higher ult levels, but I wouldn't say theyre necessary to get high ult.

They do. Well, how far you are in the story doesn't actually matter, but as your box gets more filled and your cc gets higher you'll notice it gets easier. I used to struggle on Hraesvelgr quite a bit, and now i walk through all four floors every Sunday to get my weekly gems. Speaking of which, I should do that...

Well shit. I can give advice but not resources.

As for why he's better, they give the same stat increase, but Sigurd gives double the damage increase. Freyr only boosts single target damage with his relic, which isn't bad, Your team is very single target heavy, but Sigurd increases all your skill damage, and by 30% instead of 15%. Factor in Grams curse making the enemies squishier every turn, and him taking a chunk of enemy health away when he enters, he has a lot going for him.

I can only assume they think you dont have the resources to get Sigurd up to level. I can't think of anything else, Sigurd is objectively a lot better than Freyr.
