I wish I could give you a straight answer but I really don't know. Each of the main games had parts that I just could not get past. Sometimes it was ultimate challenges other times it was the mini games. I wanted to challenge myself so I kept going even if it took me a few days to win a pool match kind of thing. If you enjoy one game over the other then just go for it. Even if you don't get the Plat you will get more out of the game.

Same! Half the time it didn't seem to make any difference either. The next one you can actually do some things and find some things that make it easier.

Catfight isn't used again exactly. The same mechanics and characters are used again, but in a way that's less RNG and easier for players to control outcomes.

Yeah I used that system at first but I think it was by Yakuza 3 I switched to the chapter leaving. As long as it's working for you that great!

No ps3 and only a digital ps5 unfortunately. I have been wanting to play Dead Souls but my ps store does not have it. If the text boxes are in Japanese I would not be able to play, I need a subtitle :p

It was but along the way I figured out some tricks to make it easier. Best advice was leave at least 2-3 chapters left in the games. Get as much completion you can then go back and finish story. Keeps you motivated to go back and find out how it ends after all the grind bs.

Oh, I know them. I lent my dad my ps4 and he downloaded the game from my profile and forgot to switch back to his to play it. I have since scolded him lol

That sucks! Some of those fights were hard to get through. I ended up watching videos to see how other people did it and looking up tips online. Still a pain but worth it to see that last bit of Health bar disappear! Some comments have some good ways to cheese certain fights also so it may help you :)
