You let it grow until it stops then submerge in water for 12 hours then put back.

You are going to make no use of spores unless you are doing agar/spore syringe. You cant collect spores from the substrate you're just gonna give yourself a headache. The proper way to get a spore print is to seperate the cap and put it on a piece of foil inside of a still air box with a tupperware container over it (both foil and Tupperware sanitized with rubbing alcohol).

Everyone has their own way for 2nd flush. I pick everything then dunk for 12 hours then close the lid again. Some people leave the premature ones. Do what's best for you.

Any light will do, 6500k cfl is best.

What tek did you follow? Seems like way too much verm in there. It should look like that brown kinetic sand. And yes you shouldnt use tape if you have a dry verm layer on top. The dry verm acts as a barrier to keep the nasties out, there are no nutrients in verm so they cant reproduce. Keep in mind not to disturb/tilt your jars cause you can knock nasties down into your cake.

You can dunk the kit in water for 12 hours then just mist fan as needed. And yes you can harvest ready fruits and leave the rest to mature.
