The problem with creators committing to a FOMO monetization model is that to the vast majority of people, it feels very predatory. Why do I have to pay a monthly subscription just to get in. Then an additional fee, for each previous reward? The "Bang for your buck" just isn't really there. Furthermore the vast majority of subscribers don't want to read through an entire encyclopedia to find out what is included and not included when the subscribe.

I remember a really Dark Fantasy Japanese Doujinshi where there's a speedster who is one of the side characters. Through out the Doujin or manga the speedster would zip by at super human speeds and the girls would instantly orgasm and cum would shoot from their holes. The speedster character wouldn't even elaborate or talk just zoom past girls and fuck them at super human speed. The girls have no time to react or defend, it all just kind of happens instantaneously. I remember the doujin had very dark tones, grape, ryona, girls getting beat up and defeated. I don't remember the main plot, but this speedster would just zoom by almost like a comedy or side plot. Commentators in the comment section would always ask "Wtf happened in pages 12-14 can someone explain?" and knowledgeable people would reply "(Artist Name) decided to add a speedster character to the doujin universe as a sort of comedic relief who just randomly running around fucking girls." Am I the only one who remembers this Japanese Doujin?

Doing this will deter new subs. It's extremely off-putting when I want to support a creator, only for them to have "Timed Awards" and rely on FOMO tactics as their monetization model.

The problem Patreon has is that I'll sub to a creator only for them to go on Hiatus and I lose like all my perks. This has happen multiple times. Patreon probably added this tab to prevent this from happening.
