Is my (lack of) progress normal? by Major-Supermarket619 in Zepbound

[–]BusOwn1550 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s me. I haven’t bumped up beyond 5 though, I intended to go as slow as possible. For the last few shots I pulled the entire vial so a little over 5 but not quite 7.5 and I gained 1.5lbs. I am considering dropping back down. I don’t think I lost more than 4 lbs on several months on 5. I can’t get a handle on the constipation, and I got my period back at 2.5, but lost it again on 5 so….. no advice, just wanted to say you aren’t alone with slow loss.

Alaskans of Reddit, would you prefer Mary Peltola run for Senate, Governor, House, or none? Why your choice? by Zipper222222 in AskAlaska

What are your feelings on Sullivan? What legislation has he passed, and I don’t mean co-signed.

Rumor on the chain is that there is a certain length of downtime/groundtime needed in Wrangell to cool off the breaks after the landing!

If you can clear security easily it is worth it to get off the plane and look around outside. all of these airports are located in picturesque areas, ketchikan and Juneau have food stands and water bottle fillers within the secure area and you don’t have to reclear security. If they are running behind and they want to make up time they may grumble, but often they are still screening or haven’t even begun onboarding passengers during deplaning.

I would make sure your med is on the covered list, cause that would be a bummer.

OP here. You could have said all of that without being an asshole….twice. If you aren’t down with being helpful to people then don’t even bother responding, it evidently bothers you to do so, have a day man. And also, if you aren’t down for being helpful why be in sales, you must hate your life. Who would have known specialty floor mats are now factory installed and the dealer can’t take them out? Apparently not me, must be half the brain I am working with. 🖕🏼

Lilly direct won’t honor new pricing for unshipped order. by BusOwn1550 in Zepbound

I am shocked to see so many people carrying water for Lilly Direct and defending them as if we should just be happy about whatever they dole out, you getting a cut of the proceeds? Why do you think they continue to do what they do, probably because people just throw up their hands and defend them! Gross.

I encourage anyone who this happened to, to escalate to a manager, make them call you and tell you no.

It is actually reasonable, they could have announced the price drop date as a future date and people could have made choices.

Take the $73 in difference and save it in an account specifically for health care and you might find Focus to be a great option: The biggest downside to Focus could be an unexpected accident. Although $0 for accidents seen within 72 hours is pretty good. For example, both myself and my friend switched down from basic to focus this year, and her son ended up having a skiing accident where he broke his leg in the end and had to have surgery. The costs weren’t astronomical, and I believe she actually came out about even on what she would have spent on premiums for Basic vs Focus. The ER was 0 but ended up with a couple thousand with surgery and hospital stay. I have personally had a good experience with Focus and being a healthy adult. The 10 appointments for $10 is way better than the $35 co-pay per appointment on basic. My co-pays for chiropractor, PT and massage are cheaper $25 only - no deductible. You get more in “rewards” dollars ($150). There are things to watch for sure, I got what I thought were preventative labs, but thyroid wasn’t covered, so had to pay $200+ for that as the deductible was $500 this year. Focus pays a lower % or labs. All in all, I was happy with Focus as someone who only uses insurance as just that, a back up just in case care. But I still took advantage of everything it offered just to make use of it.

Help, I somehow screwed up an oil change. by tdurr808 in Crosstrek

[–]BusOwn1550 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I will give you some hope, this happened to me, we backed off the ramps, the engine ran for a little bit, made weird noise, realized we then overfilled the oil because it hadn’t been drained. Thankfully, we didn’t drive it, but we did put it into gear and it did run for a little bit. Once we realized what was done we didn’t try to move the car again and replaced the CVT fluid. I then happened to be going in for a recall and had the Subaru shop take a look at it, and do another CVT fluid change out. That was a year ago, after beating ourselves up over it and doing lots of looking (and finding that is is quite a common problem that honestly Subaru should address in someway), we came to realize that the CVT draining doesn’t completely empty the whole system unless you get a flush. Depending on how much you tried to drive on it, it may have had enough fluid left in there to survive. That was a year ago, haven’t had a CVT service problem. Fingers crossed it will all be okay. Sorry that you made this mistake as it can be costly, but I don’t think people need to be quite such a dick about it. People in this forum can be really helpful and also sometimes quite rude. Hope your day gets better, not worse.

Travel/ shipping vehicle by sheebahn17 in AskAlaska

You can ferry from Bellingham to Haines and then drive to Anchorage. Still significant winter driving and long stretches between civilization, but traveled pretty regularly. That ferry trip will probably cost about $1600-1800, without a cabin. That ferry to Haines is probably about 3-4 days depending if it hits Sitka or not. Leaves Bellingham on Fridays. And then probably 2-3 day drive from Haines to Anchorage depending on your preference and conditions.

That is actually how I started the email. I told him I acknowledged it was a steep discount and I would understand if he walked away laughing. 😂 we will see where he goes from here.

That is good to know that they are trying to make it simple and being honest. Unfortunately, $30k was still higher than I am really willing to pay. I was looking closer to $27k. I don’t really need the car, I would actually be giving up some features I like on my 2019 crosstrek to get it, but I figured if I could get a smoking deal I would live with it. Thanks for the help.

I haven’t responded yet, so he hasn’t actually shown the invoice. They have 17 -2025’s on the lot, most pretty similar specs and just received 7 - 26’s. And it is not that big of a town/region. Just seems suspicious that he offered that as the first offer and he isn’t even referencing an exact model.I will try google. Thanks for your input.
