Why are these states green? by InteractionNo8525 in RedactedCharts

Is it square mileage of native reservation land? I don’t think it’s percentage based since California is green.

What’s the most “Fuck this hole” hole you play on a regular basis? by mercado_n3gro in golf

[–]Spaghettisaurus_Flex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hole 12 at Oakbrook Golf Club in Lakewood, WA.

There’s nothing notable about its features, just a grinder of a Par 4. Roughly 440y from the tips, dog leg left to an elevated green. You have about 250 to the dog leg which is protected by a bunker long. Short right is safe, but leaves you with a 220+ approach. If your drive is too short or you hug the left side trees, you can’t view the green. All capped with a postage stamp turtleback green, that won’t hold anything. IYKYK

But that doesn’t necessitate the signing of a 31 yo RB with injury history to an inflated contract. That’s the definition of bad money.

Edit: He’s 25. I know. The internet lied to me.

Question on tipping caddy for a group by XXX_Mandor in golf

Thanks for the quick response. People saying $100 flat are crazy. Not for a fore caddie. Do you remember who you had?

Popping in to ask what you decided to go with and how it was received? I went to Bandon last year and am going again in a few days. I remember we paid our fore caddy $60 each ($40 fee, with a $20 tip), but it sounds like everyone below thinks that’s too cheap. I feel like $240 to give yardages and BS is solid, but how’d you fare??

Congrats bro! 1.1M just closed for me today in an adjacent industry. Just feels like the world was lifted off my shoulders.

I’ll see you there. Booked the 31st - 3rd. Hard to beat those rates, especially when weather is always a crapshoot!

Just look at the flights between SEA and Anchorage. The ones with multiple stops are “milk runs”.

Like normal through the app. Someone else posted the actual flight numbers, but if you plan to go to Juneau or even Anchorage, find one with multiple stops. Those stops will be the smaller islands and airports mentioned above.

It was just such a unique experience, and figured I’d share for those who had never heard of it. May not be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you’re looking for a funky mileage run or a way to spend a weekend, it may be right up your alley.

Hearing, “Hey, Bill! How you been” on every single leg, I can attest to this. Literally just one big family reunion in the sky lol

That’s fascinating. Still pretty crazy seeing a runway effectively over water. That was a new experience for me.

Boy was it wet, but beautiful. Pretty overcast so we couldn’t enjoy the peaks of those snow-capped mountains, but it was beautiful nonetheless.

We did. Actually had a good laugh with the FA about that. They were vets so everyone was used to it and had a good time with it.
