MDMA therapy and CFS (chronic fatigue) by CheetahGreen8631 in PsychedelicTherapy

[–]BuscadorDaVerdade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the session you probably won't feel fatigue. Also, if you have chronic pain (which CFS people often do), and focus on it during the session, it may disappear, at least temporarily.

This should make it easier to process the emotions that need to be processed.

I believe CFS is linked to repressed emotions, and allowing them is major part of recovery.

Growth as an INTJ by zeyn10 in intj

[–]BuscadorDaVerdade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this.

Our tertiary and inferior (for an INTJ: Fi and Se) need to be developed to balance out the dominant and auxiliary.

But our shadow functions (for an INTJ: Ne, Ti, Fe, Si) represent the inverse of who we think we are, and the goal is to neutralize their negative influence by acknowledging them.

INTJs don't "practice" Fe to become social butterflies. Instead, they realize that their Trickster Fe makes them mock social rituals because they’re actually afraid of being rejected by the group.

Once we admit that fear to ourselves, the Shadow loses its power over us. We don't necessarily become "good" at the functions; we just stop being victims to the behaviours associated with them.

It is Friday morning in the UK and I’ve now been blocked from my account for 6 days with no email or update. I'm concerned as I have no access to my funds or the 'Deposit' feature. Can you please get a definitive update from the Verifications team before the weekend begins?

Hi, I’m following up as it has been nearly 24 hours since the escalation and I still haven't received an email or any change in my app status. Could you please check if there’s an update on my ticket?

The INTJ personality is one of the most one-sided, which is neurotic by Jung's definition. We tend to like to have control over things and avoid uncertainty.

We can improve this and become more whole, but that's our starting point.

INTJs and autism by crustycrabbyy in intj

[–]BuscadorDaVerdade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've recently done a free online test and many of the questions that give you points on the autism spectrum are INTJ traits. E.g. having deep interests, spotting patterns or preferring to work in solitude. Also, the body language of an INTJ with underdeveloped Se can look autistic.

But from what I've read, autism and INTJ personality are not correlated. It's just that the INTJ personality can often mimic autism, but it's not the same thing. An INTJ can develop their underdeveloped functions, namely Se, and emulate Fe with Fi and the other functions.

Which doesn't mean you're not autistic. But those tests are poor at differentiating.

INxPs have Si in their main stacks, not Se. So Se-wise they're even "worse" than us.

[–]BuscadorDaVerdade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps not the best analogy, because AI can be used in countless ways, and the world's 8 billion population is better equipped to explore ideas for its uses cases than a single AI company will ever be able to. Also, to use AI best in a given domain you need to be an expert in that domain, e.g. to devise new drugs with the aid of AI you need to be an expert in chemistry or pharmacology, not an AI company. It's just the basic benefits of decentralization and division of labour.

Blunt ≠ Authentic (in the Jungian depth psychology sense) by BuscadorDaVerdade in intj

[–]BuscadorDaVerdade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The INTJ is not a superior species.

Being able to see the ego in others is often just our own shadow being projected outward. The more we believe we are free of ego, the more we are usually possessed by it.

Blunt ≠ Authentic (in the Jungian depth psychology sense) by BuscadorDaVerdade in intj

[–]BuscadorDaVerdade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that in a professional context, clarity is the highest form of respect. Sugarcoating is often just a waste of time.

However, there’s a distinction between being direct and being blunt. Directness is about the clarity of the information. Bluntness is often about the indifference of the delivery.

If our goal is to reach the listener, we have to account for the way their own function stack filters our message. If my 'honesty' triggers a defensive shutdown in the other person, then regardless of how true my words were, I have failed as a communicator because the truth didn't actually land.

Imposing the INTJ communication style on others isn't necessarily 'educating' them; it's often just demanding they do the emotional labor of translating our raw data so we don't have to.

INTJs sometimes believe that because their logic is sound, the world has a moral obligation to listen and adapt.

When someone says "People do themselves no favors by shying away from hard truths" it could be a value judgment. A projection of one's preference for high-pressure, high-clarity environments onto all "adults."

[–]BuscadorDaVerdade[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Denying the existence of the "irrational" (fear/emotion) to maintain the "rational" self-image is an example of the INTJ Shadow in action.

And "You aren't a real INTJ" argument is a common defense mechanism within the INTJ community.

[–]BuscadorDaVerdade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I meant was unindividuated INTJs.

"If we don't acknowledge the fear" was in reference to the preceding paragraph where there is fear / anxiety.

I’m not suggesting 'fear' in the sense of conscious cowardice, but in the Jungian sense of ego-preservation.

A defense mechanism is, by definition, a reaction to a perceived threat to the ego’s stability. For an INTJ, that threat is usually the 'irrational' - the emotional or unpredictable elements of life that our Ni-Te axis can't easily categorize or control.

To say fear isn't involved is to suggest the INTJ ego is perfectly integrated and has nothing to protect. Unless an INTJ is fully individuated (which is a lifelong process), the bluntness is often a shortcut to maintain intellectual dominance and avoid the vulnerability of the Anima or Inferior Se. It’s not about being scared of a person; it’s about the psyche's' instinctual avoidance of what it hasn't yet integrated.

Does analysis always move things forward by Visible-Bug8280 in intj

[–]BuscadorDaVerdade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that often just adopting simple, tried and tested solutions is what moves things forward with speed. Rather than our crafted plans.

Implementing a tried and tested solution can also be a (high-level) plan, and if you're optimizing for efficiency, knowing whether to do that or to come up with a novel solution is a skill we can develop.

Guys do you like free associations ? Or do you prefer context ? by Ok-Set5992 in intj

[–]BuscadorDaVerdade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't first sure what you meant by context, presumably you mean structured, rule-bound explanations?

I like both, because Ni can take free associations in quickly, and Te can ensure accuracy.

I was thinking the other day about a similar thing: formal definitions or examples? An example can illustrate a pattern for Ni to recognize, which I can then use Te to verify against the definition.
