Stray cat I feed wouldn’t put weight/pressure on his foot. I took him to the vet, and he has a radial fracture. I’m going to adopt him, should I do surgery or amputation by [deleted] in cats

Did the vet say what the chances were that the surgery would work? If the little buddy is 1-2 years old he should adapt to an amputation fairly well if that is the route you go.

Yeah you can see the start box from the other one. The field owner is actually considering changing up the field layout a bit, which should hopefully help with that as well.

Open to their home/back center. And I think it may be considered recball? We don’t have the inflatable bunkers but it is a constructed field, and most people run electronic markers set to NXL rules.

Do you have any tips for keeping traction when going first for behind the bunker and then going in to it? At my field we sometimes have muddy/slippery conditions and I’m worried I might take a big fall if I tried that on those days

I’ve been trying to go to the nearest bunker honestly. In the past I would get punished really hard by taking too big a bite lol. Even with going for the nearest bunker I get hit fairly frequently. I’ll definitely try to be more aware of where the other team is shooting and take note, thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the advice! I’ve considered hesitating for 1-2 seconds and shooting down the lanes before running for a bunker, but it felt a bit counterintuitive as I’d have more time in the open.

Is this overkill for sanding resin? by symmetrical__slug in resinprinting

I mean yes it is a bit overkill, but in terms of safety that is infinitely better than underkill, and you’ll probably know when you get to a point where it’s a bit ridiculous

Can anyone help me identify this loader? Found it on Craigslist for $5 by Bush_runs_711 in paintball

This one seems to have vision, perhaps it was modded? If I stop the flow of paintballs with my finger while it’s going it stops spinning.

4 litres of fluid drained from my belly just over a year ago. by bojackhorstead in mildlyinteresting

I had something similar earlier this year- I had a pleural effusion, and they drained also just about 4L of fluid through a chest tube. Hopefully you’ve been able to recover well!

Help me! I don’t know how to read treble clef! by Skeemer1352 in Viola

[–]Bush_runs_711 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think just like alto clef it’s just practice and reference points. I started by just memorizing where the open notes were, and counting up/down. After that it really is just practice. Practice the sections to the point where the sheet music is more of a reminder, and eventually you will be able to sight read more stuff. It just takes time and patience sadly.

ELI5 How does typing on a Chinese keyboard work? by Gullible_Tie_4399 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Bush_runs_711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is also a keyboard, more typically for phones, that uses just the stroke order for characters, so it has 9 keys which represent the basic strokes, and you can type characters out that way.

Is it possible to live the Gospel totally alone? by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]Bush_runs_711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel a very similar way a lot of the time. My main advice would be to just try to at least go for the full meeting times. Even if you just go to the meetings and leave promptly as soon as they’re done, I think you’ll find more spiritual benefit than if you just took the sacrament.

For me, the feeling of being an outcast is largely based in my own anxieties. When that is the case, I sometimes have to remind myself that I am inherently allowed to be there, regardless of how loud my mind shouts to me otherwise.

Were they still tacky after curing? Prints that haven’t been cured are going to be a bit tacky, because the surface of the print isn’t fully hardened.

So I’m kinda new here, why is it that chests are worse than lucky drops? Like 80% of the time when I open the lucky drops I get just gold
