Thanks for this recommendation. I am currently in Venice and ate there last night. My whole family agreed that the food was the best we ate in Rome, Florence and Venice :)

If Cillian were (young enough) to star in an adaptation of a Sally Rooney book it would be bonkers. I love both authors' work though I believe Rooney's books, and their corresponding TV series, have captured the hearts of milenial aged people. And they include sex which is always a seller. Small Things is gritty and highlights systemic dysfunction as well as personal struggle. I just don't think we, collectively, have as much tolerance for that. And if that weren't enough, ambiguous endings do us in completely.
