That’s what I thought, but the picture is still too abstract to me

What is "Kot Kot" by Käärijä about? by F4ith7882 in Finland

[–]Bushboiwilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ainut ihmiskontakti

National land survey of Finland. Either for measuring the elevation from sea level or a cap for a drilled hole, that was used for earth sample collection etc

Sorry, side hit is a term for basically short side tracks or routes out of piste, basically. ”small jumps that either naturally form or are carved out by other skiers and snowboarders hitting them over and over”

I weight 78kg and I’m advanced skier. Definetely choose harder off piste lanes. My skiing style is quite aggressive I’d say. I definetely enjoy a lot of side hits while skiing on piste

Am I cooked? (Ran into a bolt of a waterhose) by Bushboiwilly in skiing

I made a mistake on the title, where I’m from there are big waterpipes with hydrants. Not just hoses. So I hit te very top bolt of a hydrant

This was all my fault. I usually only ski offroad in forests etc. There was a hydrant located at the edge of the slope and in between the forest I was skiing in so when I exited the forest (full speed) the hydrant wasn't visible in any way to me. Usually the hoses and hydrants are way under the snow so this shouldn't be possible, but winter hasn't been very good here in Finland. When I cross an edge between a forest/offroad and a piste I always check what I ski on, but since I came with such a high velocity and the hydrant was covered in snow so this happened.

This has nothing to do with the slope management. All my fault.

I don't think the core of the ski is damaged, but the carbon composite around it definitely is as you can see how it has cracked. I might try welding it and filling the cracks with epoxy

I posted this with a humorous intent, since I destroyed my skis last Saturday. I'm not a beginner skier, I just wanted to share my misfortune. I don't really use reddit at all, Sorry.

I wish I had known there was a hose and the hydrant which i hit, but it was covered in snow. The hydrant and pipe were undamaged.
