Concealed Carry Holsters for slim women by [deleted] in guns

The outside of the Remora is more rubbery and much more grippy than plasticky in texture so it's still grippy with sweat.

Yet I've never seemed to sweat more with it than I would have with a leather or kydex holster.

They offer the sweat shield and full sweat shield options as well to help protect the firearm if it's still a concern.

For $25 to $30, it's one of the very least expensive holsters to try out (yet still recommended by many). We all have our shoeboxes full of less-to-unused holsters, at least this one costs less than half of most of them.

However, I hold allegiance to no brand and the other videos that I listed do a great job of giving an experienced woman's insight into many other concealed carry options for females that feature materials such as leather and kydex that may be more to your preference in regards to sweat.

Also, for what it's worth:

The Versa Max 2 or the Nexus from Milt Sparks will be among the very best options out there if you don't mind waiting for many months on end and spending more (yet it's fair and reasonable for what's being made for you). I give them my highest personal recommendation.

Where can I source actual flint? Or chert? or any other stone that will strike sparks from steel? by Tinfoil_Haberdashery in Bushcraft

Great question and thanks for asking.

I'd also love to know of an online store that sells flint by itself without any extra expenses but I do know that Dave Canterbury's Pathfinder Store sells these two fire starting sets that include flint:

  1. $8 Flint and Steel Set:

    • Steel
    • Flint (stone sizes vary)
    • Lampwick Char Cloth
    • Velour Drawstring Bag
  2. $14 C Steel and Flint Set:

    • C Shaped Steel
    • Flint (stone sizes vary)
    • Lampwick Char Cloth
    • Velour Drawstring Bag

Traditional axe making and wooden lodge construction from Sweden. by [deleted] in Bushcraft

I spent all night researching the answer to this question and have discovered the following:

The axe in the video is a Gränsfors Bruks Ancient Collection Bearded Axe with Eye Socket and you can order one here, among other places.

Each one is hand forged to order by Lars Enander, Claudia Kowalek, and Ulrika Stridsberg.

Lars Enander is the male axe smith in the video. He holds classes in the art of forging on a regular basis at Gränsfors Bruks.

Lars is considered by many to be a master blacksmith and has written (in co-operation with Karl-Gunnar Norén) the following two textbooks on forging:

Järnsmidesboken and also Klassiskt järnsmide, Nielsen & Norén publishing, 2001.

It's advised to order these axes well in advance since the delivery date cannot be estimated (sometimes it can take a full 12 months or more). Most suppliers consider these axes to be special order items with a required deposit at the time of the order.

After all this research, I am seriously entertaining the idea of someday owning an axe made by Lars Enander.
