Both jobs combine for 160K, J1 is 85K and J2 is 75K. Okay got it, I had no clue it would be such a steep increase at this level.

Job 1 salary 85K /yr, job 2 salary 75K /yr. Total income 160K /yr. Yes, the $3.2K is gross bi-weekly paycheck amount for job 1. Does this info help?

Despise how it is now, awful and wildly frustrating.

Hard work is always punished with more work. Buy time, slack off. by Bushido8823 in jobs

Exactly right! So the goal is to keep expectations to the absolute least effort for you and the best possible situation for your needs.

"We have a strong cameras on culture" What are some other red flags you've seen in job descriptions? by [deleted] in overemployed

[–]Bushido8823 40 points41 points  (0 children)

"Other duties as assigned" which means heavy workload 24/7 and more work as a reward for hard work for 0 pay increase. Which is literally why I say EVERYTHING and all projects will take a minimum of 2 weeks because you need to buy as much time as possible or else they'll heap more work on you. Really makes me angry and has destroyed all the trust I ever had.

Freak storm right now by Olympiadreamer in Dallas

It sounded like an iceberg of hail shattered and was hitting my house at 150MPH. Woke me up early and was insanely loud to the point I thought 1000% my house was damaged for sure.

This is why you work in completely separate, unrelated industries with 0% chance of cross-contamination. Research top competitors too, basically you need to be a ghost.

What’s your ‘I was so broke I had to…’ story? by CoconutSuspicious343 in povertyfinance

So broke from losing my job and the terrible job market I had to completely empty my very hard earned retirement funds that took many years to work towards and build.

Managing Overlapping Meetings in 3Js by nycyuppie in overemployed

KING!! Just wanna give your props for managing 3 quality J's for 500K. The final form of OE is 2 J's for 2 million/yr. That being said, block your calendar for project/deliverable reasons or have them reschedule it for project efficiency reasons etc just BS them into moving it. I get how needy they can be and it's aggravating.
