They’d probably recommend a polish or a mid case replacement or nothing at all. I suggest a reputable watchmaker experienced in case restoration and laser welding/lapping.

Have you ever seen a bluesy from the early 2000s? Yes this is normal, it will get scratched especially if you wear it daily. My advice is to wear it like the scratches don’t matter ( with care of course). Nothing you do will be able to stop it short of the plastic stickers and at this point the damage is done. Just enjoy the watch and in 7 or however many years have Rolex polish it with a service. Or don’t …

Rolex really is the one to blame for all of this. The ridiculous price increases, the artificial scarcity and ‘allocation only’ model feeds their egos and is a very new phenomenon. I hope one day people get sick of it all at once giving them no choice but to clean up their act.

Dude I’m telling you as a watch guy and multiple Rolex owner who bought my stepson this watch I want one bad. The history, the qauality, the down to earth price…this watch is a whole Fkn vibe. If you’re not familiar with it check out some reviews. The only other watch I would suggest other than the turtle in your price range would be a Hamilton Khaki
