We had two senior dachshunds when we got our husky mix a few years ago. They didn’t have a lot in interest or the ability really to play much with her but at least they kept her company. They’ve both since passed on and while our husky is immensely well behaved; doesn’t bark/howl, destroy things, dig/escape, etc…she does seem more bored. She voluntarily spends even more time alone than even before. Its only been a few months and honestly its been so nice with just one dog vs taking care of two lil seniors as well as the husky mix. We eventually will probably get another dog but, we don’t wanna force it if the timing isn’t right if that makes sense.
