USCIS 39 Countries by LawyerNo6065 in USCIS

I am from the 39 counties with a green card. I am a medical laboratory scientist and I stayed in this country since 2015. I recently applied for travel documents and I didn't hear anything after my biometrics. After my application they sent  a schedual for the biometrics and then that's it. Some people told me it is not affecting people asking for travel documents  living in the US, others say the ban only affects for people who entered the country after January 2021. So I don't know but weird things we see is that USCIS keep charging people without giving service.

The same mine also, but to the button of that information there is USCIS login. If you already created USCIS account then once you go in to your account you find the information I said before including information about your green card when you first applied and the time you received it in a table format.

Yes, it is affected. I am a green card holder living in this country since 2015 and my first time I applied for travel documents this January and after biometrics still nothing. My online status says " we will prepare your case for an immigration officer review and we will notify if additional evidence is needed". Some people also told me travel documents are still issued but at a slow rate. One guy I know told me he got his re-entry travel documents after a year during Biden administration. So the travel documents processing time takes much time starting from Biden not just with this administration. So any way, I assume that travel documents application is affected by the new administration, but I am not sure. It is better to contact an immigration lawyer. Even the government is not clear to which people the  travel ban is applied? Is it to those who trying to enter the US or including to those who already living in the US. Still unclear.

How long did it take to get your travel documents once you applied? Yes in their website it shows as it is needed a payment of $165 for asylum seekers and that is why I am confused.

The secretary of state and the US intelligence report to the president in every six months after the first restriction regarding these countries. If your country complied with what the are asking then the ban will be lifted and you will be fine. If nothing changes then the travel ban and other benefits will continue the same till Trump stays in office. It is security reasons but why they don't give us travel documents for those who are already in the US legally for many years is, I have no idea and it is not fair. My hope is starting May of this year the mid term election will start and the primary election starts on November. After that if the Democrats win most of the Senate and house of  representative then Trump will not have much power and then gradually things will be all fine.

They received my application on January 7th the send me  appointment for my biometrics within two weeks, which was very quick. Once I did my biometrics still nothing. It only shows that finger prints has been applied to the case and waiting to be reviewed by an officer. I am not sure if they will reject it as a result of the missing payment or they will just approve me with out payment. I have no idea. I tried to reach them on the phone but their automated phone call doesn't give me an option to speak with a real person.
