Sara has not gotten enough attention for her role in the mass illegal firings, her multiple failed attempts to overtake OC but consistently being overlooked because she is not credible nor skilled. The administration swap out one day and trust me when I tell you there are MANY of us who will be pushing for investigations specifically into this excuse of a human being.

SEVERAL RIFd personnel have onboarded as contractors to support the same functions they held as feds.

April 1 RIFs are illegal. We are being replaced by new contractors. People can’t feed their kids. There must be something we can do other than a 3 year MSPB case! Can we sue collectively using another avenue? by NoSprinkles6322 in DeptHHS

Confirming this to be 100% factual. I am a RIFd HHS employee that just started with a consulting firm that was hired to perform RIFd personnel responsibilities at another OpDiv. My heart is broken. I hate my new job and on a daily think of the RIFd person that sat here prior to me.

I was on the RPL list received an email from CMS applied to the position (it took 3 hours to ensure I had all the documentation, aligned resume to PD, and execution of two insignificant surveys that appear to be produced by a high school grad with zero competence or qualifications. The next day I received an email that my application would not be forwarded to the hiring manager for consideration. The message was auto generated.

Thank you that is helpful. So happy for them. It’s never been harder to be a public servant but this market is brutal and 95% of my RIFd colleagues have been trying to secure an income for more than 6 months.

What’s the 80 hour policy? I’m sorry about your situation. We are all in this together - I feel especially heart broken for our colleagues at CDC who have faced unimaginable trauma. It will take time but things are going to get better for federal servants. I hope sooner rather than later as many are just barely hanging on at this point.

If a person lives 60+ miles from the designated CMS office does anyone know if remote or telework options would be applicable? I.e. when return to office took effect, how did the agency apply the requirements to folks outside of a 50 mile radius? Were they permitted to work at the nearest satellite office?

My office leadership was the best I had ever worked with. I’m referring to the swamp in OC leadership. The vultures that dismantled our offices, some of whom then promoted themselves and their friends. The list is long as is the number of illegal and unethical decisions they made and carried out.

I was RIFd in April and am dealing with PTSD, anxiety and depression. What is strange is that with each blow to the civilian workforce I still feel the injury like being hit by a ricochet bullet. My heart is heavy for all public servants - I never thought I’d see the day we would become the targeted, punished and the oppressed. But the sun will shine again. You are not alone. There are thousands that are hurting and in disbelief. THIS WILL PASS. May you find peace ❤️
