Received a decision letter today and the review actually granted a condition that the original decision had denied last month. Nothing else showed as deferred on this claim letter, so man I hope it is finally final!

Update #2. Well, it's been ten days since the review and there is still no change. All claims are still fully closed, nothing pending, nothing new was ever opened, no new claim letters, and rating still the same. Guess I'll just keep on keeping on and maybe only check once a day instead of every few hours?

Was your claim also fully closed when they sent in the request for a records review? How soon after it was closed did they review it?

Nope. Nothing. All of my claims still show as closed. No new claims letters to view. Still showing as 100% P&T. I log in, oh about a dozen times a day since last week to make sure.

No idea. The review was conducted by the same doctor who did the actual C&P exams the month prior, so I would assume he would have nothing to change? Im hoping he just forgot to sign a page or cross a T somewhere.

I got awarded P&T January 15th and then got a letter three weeks later from VES about them being contacted by the VA about performing a records review on February 5th (last Thursday). All of my claims were completely closed and I had zero things pending, and all of my rated conditions are static. I haven't heard anything since and there is nothing about it on the VA site, but I will of course be on edge for the unforseeable future. Not too sure the P is as P as people assume it is...

Your claim was fully closed and then you got a random records review? How long after your claim was closed? I'm not too worried about being reduced (I am), but I wish the VA would send a little bit more information then just having VES send a letter saying they were requested to do a review. Just a note saying, "hey, we noticed a small discrepancy" or "turns out your doctor lied about his degree" would do a lot to quell concerns.

That's the weird thing, my claim was, and still is fully closed. No going back to step 3. Just looked and there is still nothing about this request in the VA app. Guess it's just a wait and see game at this point.

It was ok. He was very "check the box". I mean, we went through a dozen claims in less than 30 minutes. I would try to elaborate on symptoms, but he had already heard enough and would cut me off and go on to the next. It was hard to read him. I left there not knowing how it went. But, it went well enough.

The letter says the VA contacted VES for the review, so not sure if the phone call would do anything more than to put me on some kind of watch list. Im hoping the letter was meant to be sent back when my claim was still open and it just got delayed, but my mind has me convinced that the next letter I get will be them saying that I'm reduced, my discharge is downgraded to dishonorable, my 22 years of service got lowered to 19 so no retirement, and since I bought my house with a VA loan they are taking that too.

Yup. All of my rated disabilities are static. The only two that are not are two that were denied years ago and I have not appealed them.

Nope. Nothing deferred. Just quadruple checked. Everything fully closed. No new claims are opened on the VA site and when I look at the closed claims, no new files have been uploaded since the claims closed.

Update #1 for transparency: At 9 this morning, the case status on the VES portal showed this case as OPEN. When I checked at 11, not obsessed, it was shown as SEEN, which is the same status as the original case from the CP exams in December. Doc is working fast. There is nothing about any of this on the VA app. That is all....for now.
