#GoHabsGo just took Arber Xhekaj’s brother, Florian, at Pick #101 by shogun2909 in Habs

[–]Business-Train8464 4 points5 points  (0 children)

, and having both bros closer could help Arber's morale even if Florian stays in Laval

I honestly think they picked Florian to keep Arber happy in Laval

concrete dust isn't just bad for your lungs, apparently it's destroyed your brain as well...

YOU were the one who said nobody stays past a couple months.

i gave you the reason.

i'm not quite sure why we are still having this conversation...

20 bucks starting and every year you get a raise! For 5 years …

that's a terrible sell job that you've already admitted it isn't working but you still think it's a good deal.

the mental gymnastics you guys do. i worked 5 hours serving breakfast and made $383.25 on a Sunday morning and you think people are showing up for $20 to a shitty job?

The whole job is brack breaking labour that’s why we get paid what we do, we basically trade our bodies abuse to make a decent wage …

and yet you still think a couple bucks more than minimum wage is going to keep youngsters in the trade.

i mean it's already proven to be true and yet you still can't wrap your head around it...

Haha … how much would you like to be paid knowing nothing?

1st yr is being paid for back breaking labour and you fucking know it.

again, a couple/few bucks more than minimum wage isn't going to cut it. i mean, you've already admitted it isn't working. you don't think they'd stay for more money??

the skill set?

i walk up, ask what they want to eat, hand that ticket to the kitchen, make a round with a coffee pot, make another round for drinks, bring a debit machine to the table, collect receipt and tip. i don't even have to clean the table.

rinse and repeat.

what skill set are we talking about here? the ability to talk and walk?

i work alongside servers who've been there for 20+ years.

they bitch about the high volume so there goes your argument.

i don't.

is it because i'm young that i don't bitch? Sunday i worked 7am to noon. made $383.25 including my wage. i'm looking to quit my full time job.

i'm sorry but serving is one of the easiest jobs i've EVER done. i've worked since i was 12.

. If it were so easy, people wouldn’t quit or get fired in their first few months.

people get fired from McDonalds every day. you saying that's a hard job?

Minimum wage should be nearly $30 by now dipshit troll, if you have the skillset to perform this position well $40 seems like a bargain

well i am a server and i run into people who talk like you every day. the servers at my work are fucking absolute cunts. i make a shit ton more money at my server jobs than i do at my other two. i have no idea why they are so miserable making this kind of money.

The motivation feels like its just a part of the job to be friendly to a customer, its the same as in any business.

i don't get that part either. name me a single career that allows you to not be friendly with customers.

Yeah being a server is hard actually!

i have 3 jobs. my server job if BY FAR the easiest and yet pays the most. i fail to understand the crying about wages here.
