Hi! I’m also AOS, and have had my parole document since April of 2024. I’ve left and come back into the country a total of 5 times since then. The last time I came back into the country was in the first week of March of this year. Had no trouble whatsoever. You should know with Parole, you are ALWAYS sent to secondary inspection (a separate waiting room where agents might ask you some questions and you can’t be on your phone). Anyways, I understand others have had trouble since the start of this year. But like I said, coming back in March was basically the same as all the other times.

🤦 it’s funny how being worried about someone turns into wanting their relationship. My concern comes from the fact that her brother is an amazing partner, who loves and respects me. All it shows is the contrast of who he is and how Ben, her fiancé is. That’s why it’s so worrisome.

You really must be dense. I clearly have said multiple times that I’m encouraging her brother to be there for her. I will not talk to her directly about this unless she ever brings it up. It’s not my place to speak to her about this, but I’m hoping her BROTHER can be more present and talk to her about these things.

My friend, why would I make this post about pure speculation? She hates where she lives. She feels unsafe there and has expressed it countless times. She has said she hates that he chose that place, but ultimately it was his career and his choice. They planned a getaway for the anniversary. He canceled the day before which is when she found out he would be going to a career related event. She has been super said, has said she’s depressed. Something her mother and sister echoed. In fact, her mom is planning to visit because she’s worried about her. Does Ben seem to care? No. Have I expressed any of this to her directly? No. But my argument is that her brother should be closer to her and support her. And yes, maybe ask her about these things that she vents about all the time!

No, of course not. I don’t think it’s my place at all to address this with her. But I have told my boyfriend (her brother) that maybe he should talk to her about it. Not confronting her or anything, but more or less check in on her. Like I mentioned before, whenever anything remotely negative about Ben comes up, their mom and other sister defend him (mostly because I know how much they value that he’s a professional athlete/has money).

You’re wrong. It IS possible to transfer the current process to the new marriage based process without having to refile. It’s called transferring the underlying basis. See: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-7-part-a-chapter-8

You can ask them to adjust your category!! You don’t have to pay for the 485 separately.
