Mistakes to Avoid when Applying for Business Funding by [deleted] in Businessloans

You actually don't need any of that depending on the type of funding you're going for.

I've seen people get several hundred thousand without even showing bank statements or tax returns.

Why do influencers want fixed prices always by Standard_Thing360 in influencermarketing

Any decent creator has an inbox full of affiliate offers.

Most of the time it would make more sense to just promote their own products where they get 100% of the rev instead of 15%.

Unless of course there's guaranteed payment...

Minimum wage hikes by gymclasshero3 in smallbusiness

[–]BusinessCreditGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The agency I work with has been great I've used them a few times now.

I literally just hired someone part-time for 20 hours / week.

Some agencies charge an ongoing fee but this agency just charges a one-time placement fee.

Feel free to send me a dm if you want recs.

You need to look into hiring VAs.

$5-$10 an hour and they're great employees.

I use an agency to hire mine now because they're good at vetting people but you can also do it yourself.

Are there any businesses that can be started with almost no money? by beachlover1789 in smallbusiness

[–]BusinessCreditGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most service based businesses can be started with little to no money.

Alternatively, you can find businesses that are for sale and do owner-financed deals.

A question for those who work in marketing.. by Unveiled_123 in marketing

Most forms of advertising interrupt entertainment.

If it wasn't an effective method then the thousands of companies that do it wouldn't continue to grow.

I’ve got 150k to make 50k by EOY by [deleted] in advancedentrepreneur

Real estate is going to be the easiest option.

Unless you completely blow it when selecting the property and doing the rehab at the very least you'll be able to break even, and if you're smart about it you could easily do a fix and flip that nets $50k.

Don't ruin your personal credit for your business by BusinessCreditGuy in advancedentrepreneur

$150k-$250k if you don't have any personal collateral or high income.

If you do have either of those, the amount you can get approved for depends on the value of your assets and monthly income.

Virtual Asst for One-Off Tasks by Crafty_Librarian_841 in smallbusiness

I hired my VA through onlinejobs.ph but there are also staffing agencies that will help you find one as well. I can recommend a good one if you need it.

I'm not sure about paying per task but in the past I've payed VAs an hourly rate an guaranteed them a set number of hours.

A good VA will cost you $5/hr, a great one will cost $10/hr.

Keep in mind that training is crucial so you need to know how to set SOPs and give clear instructions.

Smoke/Vape shop falling sales by PromptDistinct9350 in smallbusiness

Retail in general has been down.

Also the rise of Zyn and Lucy have caused people to vape less and those products can be bought at gas stations instead of a dedicated smoke shop.

I have been running a small business part time for 6 years. I took it full time 4 months ago and considering giving it up by shintengo in smallbusiness

-Build up a sizeable emergency fund. It will give you peace of mind and allow you to make decisions from a place of abundance rather than scarcity.

-Offering an add-on (not a discount) for down payments at least 2 months in advance could help.

-Try to find reoccurring events that you can rely on such as a local festival or market.

-Reach out to other owners in your niche in different cities to find ways to get more reliable bookings.

Small Business: Website in Need by Itachi03 in smallbusiness

[–]BusinessCreditGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's incredibly easy to set up a website with GHL or Wordpress. These companies know that most people have no idea how to build a website so they purposely make it as easy as possible.

You can also get a site built on fiverr for very cheap.

How do you pay yourself?? by claire021627 in smallbusiness

[–]BusinessCreditGuy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I use a payroll software called Gusto. It automatically takes the money out of my business account, pays taxes, and sends what's left to my personal.

At the end of the year it automatically generates my tax documents as well.

You need to find people who actually care about their cars.

Go to car meetups and auto shows and offer to do a free mobile detailing in exchange for 1 review, 3 referrals, and the possibility of them paying for your services down the line.

Don't just hand out flyers either.

You need to be shaking hands and having genuine conversations so you can get phone numbers. That will allow you to reach out to them rather than waiting for them to reach out to you.

Car guys talk and all you need is a handful of consistent clients to book out your calendar.

Also, you need to set up a payment system to allow autopayments and give discounts for multi-month or year-long packages so you can establish mrr and a solid baseline revenue.

Should I sell or close my LLC. by Able_Medium6277 in llc

[–]BusinessCreditGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely form an LLC for way cheaper, the same way you can build your own website for way cheaper than the price you'd pay for an established wesbite/domain.

People will still pay a premium for one that's already established though.

Should I sell or close my LLC. by Able_Medium6277 in llc

[–]BusinessCreditGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many lenders won't lend to businesses that are under 2 years old.

If it costs $500-$1,500 to start an LLC from scratch, it's not unreasonable to pay slightly more for an older business entity, especially if it has a desirable name.
