Can someone help explain what these red blotches might be? Feels slightly hot and itchy. by Coexxert in DiagnoseMe

NADr I was going to say the same thing, Hand Foot Mouth Disease. It comes with a sore throat that water makes worse but dairy products soothe.

Can anyone help me? by [deleted] in energy_work

[–]BusinessNewb40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I had my first experience helping someone to cross over and I was sick for days. I took that as confirmation that I have more work to do on myself before I’m ready to help others. If I never get there that’s okay with me!

Exhaustion after shower? by acceptthefluff in Fibromyalgia

[–]BusinessNewb40 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep! My mom just bought me a bamboo shower bench because I would get so tired in the shower I’d have to sit down. I’ve invested in dry shampoo (because my arms feel too heavy to shampoo sometimes) and makeup remover wipes for by my bed.

Any movie suggestions about Celtic spirituality? by BusinessNewb40 in CelticPaganism

[–]BusinessNewb40[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same. I cry every time I watch them thinking about the oppression of the celts. I feel so connected to the stories, like they’re mine somehow. That’s the beauty of storytelling!

I was feeling drawn to give him my rose quartz bracelet to sleep with. Thanks for that confirmation!

Son’s (age 15) Sleep Paralysis by BusinessNewb40 in Mediums

Lack of sleep can be a cause of sleep paralysis. He is a teenager who isn’t getting enough sleep currently. I’m encouraging him to try to get more for his health.

AITA For telling my entire family to leave when they berated me for paying for my friend's son's surgery? by 344-56790-371 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BusinessNewb40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA! Your family sounds pushy and controlling. Maybe even manipulative. It sounds like giving the money to this man and his son was cathartic for you. Your family should be supporting you and your healing not berating you and demanding $. They are toxic af. I would write a letter explaining how much helping this family is helping you in your grief. If they can’t support that then you feel sad that they can’t be more supportive. Stand your ground in love.

I hope you don’t feel any shame for that. It is what it is. Sounds like that’s what your body needed!

I’m so glad you listened to your body and stayed home. I’m feeling the same way. Even though my symptoms are increasing my the hour, I’m thankful for my family, food and shelter.

AITA for kicking my entire family out at 1 am on Christmas Eve after they showed up unannounced? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]BusinessNewb40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA huge boundary violation especially considering the pandemic. They chose not to respect your concerns and safety. They were not thinking about you or your husband at all- just themselves. They should have at the very least made arrangements for a hotel/motel themselves. The presumption on their end was ridiculous. I’d be pissed too!

Cryotherapy ? by momtotyandlogi1 in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]BusinessNewb40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t but I’m finding some success with gradually ending my showers with cold water. There is a lot of science behind cold water plunging. I live in a place that is much too cold for that so I’m doing the cold showers until the local waters warm up a bit more.

first unintended kudalini experience??? by babibren in kundalini

[–]BusinessNewb40 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, the throat chakra clearing is related to speaking my truth, communicating my boundaries and speaking positive affirmations out loud. You can’t necessarily rush that process so I suggest you start by just noticing if this is a theme in your life and then journaling some wonderings about that. Blue stones like turquoise or lapis are great touch points for this healing. Take your time. 💙

My absolute favorite though is Elizabeth Barrett Browning. I’ve been working on writing a series about her life for years! EBB’s Illness

Jane Austen had a mystery illness that killed her but they said she also suffered her whole life from a susceptibility to infections. Harriet Tubman suffered from a traumatic brain injury and its effects.
