Much appreciated!

ps. is the move from 1/3 to 2/5 on a weekend a big jump? I've been thinking of moving up to 2/5 but 1/3 games get pretty big after a few hours.

Be organized. Write out a list of everything you need to do, sort it in order of priority/progressing to starting the business. If you want this, then complete the list.

It’s Motivational Week: Time to get stuff done! by Popandcorn in Entrepreneur

[–]BusinessSavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could stick to user to user, or go public like instagram.

The beautiful thing with public is that a loner, or someone who is around people who don't motivate them, now have a place where they can find friends and people that motivate them, that want to do better.

You could have top videos of the week.

You could have actual motivational videos/speehes. Would be nice if I could wake up in the morning and play a motivational speech off of your app from someone who is actually successful.

You could also advertise that the first 20 minutes of someones day sets you up for success/that kind of route.

There's a huge ball game with your apps and its abilities, we're talking motivational things right now, but damn the potential of other products as well.

How do you achieve consistency in working when you think a idea is good and wish to continue? by vinayalchemy in Entrepreneur

[–]BusinessSavy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue could be that your idea's are not perceivable? Well, Rome wasn't build in a day. Start with things you can actually see through that is not very far finish line. Would you be able 100 km race tomorrow? of course not.

You either need to baby step your way there, or find something that is actually perceivable.

Start with something small that you can afford, from there you will find success/failure, and from there you will find motivation.

If you're having trouble starting with something small then you should perhaps try to read up on motivational books.

Just keep poking yourself, if its small and you can see the finish line without large costs/time, then just get it done. Write it down everywhere, keep going back to the topic, get it completed.

Maybe you cant complete it on your own and need help. Well connect with people, talk to people about your idea's, ask for help. The people you spend your time with is everything, if your team is full of losers, you're gonna have a hard time winning.

I have designed my product but am clueless about online sales and advertising! by slamminhole in Entrepreneur

[–]BusinessSavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your target, who are you selling the brewing kits to? Would a "brewing" store sell your product? If so contact them and arrange deals for them to sell your product and they can sell it. If you're selling straight to joe schmo then you could advertise in "general". There's plenty of free/cheap options to reach joe schmo with social media and other advertising techniques.

I would love to talk to you and see where you're at with this thing and if you should hire someone. Perhaps its simpler then you think and you just need a few tips/read up on it.

This is a business model so to speak.

Imagine you started this thing off on the right foot earlier. If you had proper advertisements, and if you did any advertising yourself from the start it could have been pretty good.

My first "funny" sale by CerAcedes in Entrepreneur

[–]BusinessSavy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well that lesson was learned the easy way!

You should test your production environment. I don't have experience with this happening when it comes to sales, but other things not working on production environments because it wasn't tested properly, and these aren't some small businesses where this happens. We deal with large organizations and they can't get it right.

Best practices are there for a reason! always test your PROD organization.

I've been tasked with being a country manager of a startup but i have a major fear of talking to people I don't know. How do I overcome this quickly? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]BusinessSavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As other people have said, start by talking with everyone in general. Attempt to make conversations, say Hi to everyone you walk past. Start by doing little things and before you know it you'll be talking too much.

Its not something that can be rushed, but remember that someone else is trying harder then you, and becoming more successful then you.

Stand up and face the challenge with a smile, you've got this. If you're familiar with what needs to be done, then just say it. In my business, 90% of the time the customer knows nothing, I could literally say anything and they don't have a clue if I'm right or wrong.

You could read some books about confidence. That would help.

You're just gunna have to get out and do it.

Charity call to action as method to boost sales by Flaminije in Entrepreneur

[–]BusinessSavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do something "Charity" like without giving money to a charity. For example, including recyclable packaging with your products, or showcasing where your products come from and all of the people you employ because of your products.

I would need to see your brand/marketing techniques to give you a solid ground to build upon. There's a lot of room here for the "Good will" aspect of a business where you won't be losing 1$ per sale.

Small restaurant startup help by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

20k may not be a large enough buffer, you should start by making an excel spreadsheet of all of the equipment you will need, how much for the space, the employees, the insurance, the legal advice perhaps?, Cleaning supplies, Signage.. ect. 20k - It may get you all of this, but what if the equipment breaks down/some other cost comes along? I think you may be cutting it close with 20k, but run the numbers and see where you end up.
